Chapter Two

*Two Days Later*

Harry's POV

I was hurrying down to potions, not that Slughorn would mind.

I ran straight into Malfoy and fell backwards. I climbed up slowly, trying not to laugh at myself while Malfoy stood there smirking.

It was all I could do not to push him into an empty classroom and kiss the smirk off of his face.

After standing there for five minutes, now seriously late to potions, Malfoy turned to me and said, "Race you Potter."

As a reply, I took off sprinting down the corridor, laughing at Malfoy as he tried to catch up, cursing under his breath.

I burst into the room and Slughorn turned to me and said, "Harry my boy, you are paired with. . ."he looked down at his parchment, scanning it for my name. "Ah yes, Potter you will be working with Malfoy. Where is Malfoy?"

I just shrugged and went to stand at an empty desk. Ron and Hermione both shot me sympathetic looks, as they were paired together.

Just as Draco opened the door and lightly jogged in, Seamus' cauldron exploded in a flurry of sparks, smoke and potion. Slughorn ran over to assure no damage was done, so it was left to me to tell Malfoy to get his arse over here, which was exactly what I did.
