"Ugh!" Danny Reagan hated his math. He was doing trigonometry and calculus. How could her do that stuff if he barely passed algebra two? He had barely been able to keep his grade a steady B. He had to get help by a pretty friend of his who was an algebra whiz.
Danny hit his head continuously on the dining room table, muttering, "stupid, stupid, stupid!"
"You're gonna wanna stop that," Linda leaned against the door frame, her arms crossed with her left knee bent. She walked over to Danny, "cause I don't think I've got enough lips left. I just spent the last fifteen minutes kissing Jamie's boo-boo," she sat down next to her boyfriend.
He smiled at her as she kissed the red mark forming on his forehead. "Can you help me?" He sort of whimpered.
Linda looked at the book. "Calculus and trig? Will I receive my usual pay?"
"A kiss per every fifteen minutes. How could I argue with that?"
Linda smiled and adjusted the book between them, "you can't."
Danny listened as Linda read the instructions aloud. She was two grades behind him, but was already doing high math. She should've been one grade behind him, but because of where her birthday fell, she was two behind him. He was amazed at how smart she was, "you're really smart, you know that?" Danny's girlfriend must have been some sort of genius. She was in a class who studied algebra two, but was doing a senior math class!
Linda smiled, "you're smart, too."
Jamie slid into the kitchen, "working on fig-manor-tree and cal-u-less?"
Linda smiled at Jamie's mispronunciations. She pulled him into her lap, "Yes, we are! Your brother's having a little trouble."
"He'll be good, I know!" Jamie looked over to Danny. "You're super smart!"
"Thanks, kid." Danny's ears turned slightly red.
Linda smirked, "Yes, he is."
"Is your math hard?" Jamie looked at the senseless words and numbers on the pages of the thick book.
"Hard is an understatement." Danny grumbled.
"Danny, if you keep dumbin' on yourself, I'm gonna have-ta raise my fee," Linda smirked.
Danny smirked, "that's not a threat or an ultimatum or something like that."
"I know it."
"Why do you have a boo-boo on your head, Danny?" Jamie wondered, pointing to the red mark across his brother's forehead.
"Uh, I hit my head on the table." Danny shrugged.
"On purpose?"
"Yeah.."
"Why?"
"Just because, kid."
Jamie wasn't satisfied with that answer at all.
"Jamie, what do we do when someone has an owie?" Linda smirked.
"We kiss it!"
"Uh huh!"
Smiling, Danny said, "oh no."
Linda and Jamie peppered his forehead with kisses.
"Feel better?" Jamie smiled.
"Much," Danny smiled back. "You're gonna make a good Mom some day, babe."
Linda blushed and shrugged, "I dunno about that.."
"You are, too!" Jamie interrupted.
"Let's get back to work, huh?"
"You're no fun," Danny sighed, but started his homework.
