Double Feature

"What movie are you and Linda gonna see?" Joe wondered as he watched Danny get ready for his date.
"We're going to see a scary double feature at the drive-in. A Nightmare On Elm Street and the new movie, Child's Play."
"Ooh, a double feature. A scary one at that. Nice move, bro."
"She said I could pick, and I did."
"But you picked a scary movie on purpose." Joe stated, following Danny down the stairs. "She'll get scared, you'll protect her, you'll get to what? Third base?"
"No, and besides. I don't have to tell you anything." Danny answered smugly.
"Danny!" Joe complained. "Are you past third? Didya make it to home?"
"I'm not telling you anything."
"What aren't you telling Joe?" Erin wondered, grabbing an apple.
"He won't tell me anything about anything!" Joe complained. "Do you know if he's gotten passed third base?"
"Knowing him? Probably." She smirked.
"I am not telling you two anything!" Danny shook his head.
"Danny!" Jamie yelled, "Linda's here!!"
Danny smiled at his siblings and headed to the front door. "Hey, Linda."
Linda smiled, "hi, Danny. What movie are we seeing?"
"Nightmare On Elm Street and Child's Play."
"Ooh. Sounds scary."
"You like scary movies?" Danny wondered as they got in the car.
"Um.... yeah, sure." She nodded, a little nervously.

Linda gasped and grabbed Danny's arm as a reflex as a scary part happened.
Danny looked down at his arm, then at Linda. She looked terrified, but was completely enthralled by the movie. She chewed her popcorn almost mechanically as she let go of Danny's arm and scooted to the edge of her seat.
"Don't do it!" Linda talked to the movie. "Don't go there! Ah! Ya went there!" She threw her hand up, letting it make contact with her thigh. She let out a tiny scream when the character was captured. She yelped again, and hid her face in Danny's shoulder.
"It's okay," he whispered, "it's just a movie."
"I know."
"Do you want to go home?" Danny didn't want Linda to be uncomfortable in anyway.
She sat up and shook her head. "I'm okay. Let's watch the movie."
"If you wanna go home-"
Linda smiled at her boyfriend, "I'm okay, really. But thank you."

During most of Child's Play, Linda his her face in Danny's shoulder.
"Is it over?"
Danny smiled softly, "Yeah, it's over."
She lifted her head and looked at Danny, her cheeks going red. Clearing her throat and pushing her hair behind her ear, she nodded. "Good."

"Danny!" Joe whispered loudly, running up to his brother who had come home way past curfew. "Did ya get to a base?"
"What's with you and my bases, huh? They're my private property." Danny strode up the stairs, Joe close behind.
"That's not an answer!"
"Good night, Joe." Danny smirked and closed his door.
Joe cursed his brother inside his mind. "Then don't tell me!"
"Good night, Joe."
Joe growled, annoyed, and headed to his bedroom. "I'll find out somehow."
