*so I recently watched the eppy where Eddie kills someone for the first time. Wanted her to interact with the Reagans. This is what I came up with*

"I can't cry," Officer Edit "Eddie" Janko told her partner, Jamie Reagan.
"No one's asking you to." He shrugged.
"Oh, everybody's asking. Cry. Let it out.... so I watched Remember The Titans. That always makes me cry."
"Not today?"
Eddie shook her head.
Jamie held up a picture of his partner in high school, trying to lighten the mood. Eddie rolled her eyes and sat in the couch, drink in hand. She commented on how she used to be an innocent, sheltered child.
"What does that mean?" She asked after Jamie had quoted some advice his father had given him.
"Don't be drawing any pig conclusions about your life right now." Jamie took a seat next to her, "just today, and get through the night."
Eddie fingered the rim of her glass, thinking about what he said.
"How long since you've slept?"
"Too Long." She placed her drink on the table. She looked at her partner, "this is a really bad guy. So why do I feel so guilty?"
"Cause you're a good guy."
Eddie nodded, feeling her tears coming. "Thanks."
"It's true." Jamie moves closer to her, putting an arm around her shoulders. Her forehead rested against his cheek.
Silence hung in the air before Eddie whispered, "Do you think maybe you could stay here tonight?" When Jamie didn't answer right away, she sat up. "I don't mean like..."
Jamie nodded, "I know."
She looked at his face for a few moments before saying, "I need you."
"I'm not going anywhere." He hugged her when she started to cry. While she cried, Jamie wanted to do what he had seen his brother do a thousand times to his sister in law. He wanted to press his lips to Eddie's forehead, hug her tightly, and tell her everything was okay because he still loved her. Instead, he settled for rubbing her shoulder. "It'll be okay, Eddie."
She nodded, her sobs coming faster. "Promise?"
"Promise."
*********
The next day, Eddie was back at work, feeling a little better. Crying definitely helped. She shook the little sugar packet, trying to remember which one of Jamie's family members had said that.
"Eddie?"
The blonde turned around and saw another blonde, holding a casserole, looking sympathetic.
"Can I help you?" The Officer wondered.
"I'm Linda... you know, Jamie's sister in law?"
Eddie nodded, "Danny's wife."
"Yeah. Anyway, I heard what happened, and I know how you feel. Well... not personally, but.." Linda shook her head. "Here." She handed the cop the casserole. "It's spaghetti casserole."
Eddie smiled, "Do you Reagans always do this?"
"You mean show up with casseroles to show support for the officer in need?" Linda nodded.
"Thanks. This looks really good."
"You're welcome. And it is. It's my mother's recipe."
Eddie smiled, "I bet it's good."
"You snagged yourself a good partner. Jamie's a good guy."
"Someone told me he's like you? He, um, wants to save every puppy in the pound."
"Yeah. That's like me." Her phone buzzed in her pocket. She took it out, "oh, I gotta go. I hope you feel better. Enjoy the casserole. It was nice meeting you." Linda smiled and walked away.
Eddie held up the casserole, inspecting it. "Reagan!" She wanted to get his opinion about the casserole.
