Dawn POV:

When I open my eyes again I look around. This time I was in a bedroom, laying down in a huge bed. More tubes were in me and I ripped them out again. I sat up and took in the room, it painted a cream-white color. There was a desk covered in papers in one corner and 2 doors next to it. I'm guessing one was a bathroom and the other a closet.

I stood and tried to balance myself, I have got to stop passing out. I start to walk around the room, trying to find something that I could possibly use to defend myself if needed. I found a pocket knife on the desk and slipped it in my pocket.

I turned and was about to head to the door that I thought was the door out of here, it swung open and a full grown man walks in. He was obviously angry, I could tell that by the expression on his face. He stops and glared at me, I was about to say something when Cole ran into the room, stopping next to the man.

What was Cole doing here?  "Father, please." Cole said to the man. So the man was his father....alright then....

The man turned and pulled Cole out of the room and they stood in the hallway. They started talking but I couldn't hear exactly what they said. After a few seconds, Cole walked back into the room. He walked over to me and tried to hug me but I took a step back and reached for the knife that was in my pocket. He froze and then held his hands slightly up, showing he meant no harm.

"Where am I?" I asked, slightly mad. I noticed my voice had a slight growl to it, but that didn't surprise me.

Cole POV:

When she asked me where she was I didn't know what to say. I stumbled around my words then stopped trying to speak. And yes I knew she was going to ask eventually but I didn't think it would be this soon.

I also saw that she had my pocket knife at her side and was ready to pull it out, for her defense. So I decided to choose my next words carefully, I had to get her on my side.

"Your at my pack house," I say after a few minutes of quiet. "I'M WHERE?" She started yelling. I could see that she had started to freak out. "Yes now calm down before my dad comes in here again," I say in defeat.

I watched as she relaxes a bit, this made me relax a little to. "Ok fine. But why am I here?" She asked, lowering her hand slightly away from my knife. "You were hurt by someone so I brought you back to my pack doctor. They said you have a concussion and can't go anywhere far for a while." I explained to her, I watched as she took in the info.

After a moment of silence, she finally said something. "So I have to stay here?" She asked worried. I nodded, I knew how hard this was for her, to stay here until she's better. There's also something else....but I feel like I shouldn't tell her it until later, when she's more comfortable here and with me.

I watched as she sighed and sat back on the bed, turning her back to me. I have no idea what to do. Should I comfort her, or will she reject me? Should I walk away, or will she think I don't care? Ugh why is this was so hard?

Thankfully, my best soldier walked in. I turned to him and nodded once at his arrival. "Sir, a female rouge has entered the territory." The soldier informed me. "Capture her and put her in the catacombs, I'll be there soon." The soldier nodded then turned and walked out of the room.

I turned back towards Dawn. "Look I have something to say but not now. So, do you want anything to eat?" I am a little more calm than I was when I saw her with my knife. "Sure," she states in a monotone way.

We walk out of my room and down the stairs to the kitchen. When we get there I make French toast. "Thank you, but you don't have to do this," she says with a full mouth. "Yes I do," I say matter of factly. "Why?" She asks like she can't feel that she is my mate. "I will tell you later. Oh and before I forget again, you will be sleeping in my room," I tell her and her eyes widen. "Oh, ok," she says a little nervous.

When she is done eating we go back to my room. "So, what do you have to tell me?" She asks with a smirk. "Not now." I say bluntly. "But it's later," she wines as she falls onto my bed. "Fine but you can't freak out, run, or scream," I say. "Ok?" she say questioning. "You are..... you are my, my mate," I say afraid of her reaction. "Oh, ok. That's new," she says calmly, but I can see the gears turning in her head.

Ok, so it went better than expected. She is my mate and now she knows it. I just didn't expect her to take it so well.
