After the Fact

Dawn POV:

After I told him to leave me alone, I ran off in the distance. How is he a werewolf? How could my senses not have told me what he was? 

I knew he was gonna follow me so I slowed down, there was no way he wasn't gonna follow. I was probably the only one like his kind that he has seen in some time. 

I stopped and shifted back into a human and turned around to face the way I had come. I could see trees, leaves and bushes but I knew he was there. "Come out, I know you followed me." I say confidentially.  I had to act dominant in the presents of someone other than my kind. 

He doesn't come out so I go look. He didn't follow. I can feel the eyes of something on me but I decide to ignore it. I don't care anymore, I had just meet a werewolf. I hadn't meet anyone remotely similar to my kind in over 10 years. For all I know, there could be more werewolves in the area and he could be there Alpha. I could be considered a rouge to them! 

He could have me killed, or worse. Jesus I have no idea what to do! I sigh and sit down at the base of a tree, thinking. I want him to come back so I find out more about him, but I want him to stay away because he could have me killed. I have no idea what to do or what I really want. 

I decide to just sit there. Doing nothing, just listening to the wilderness around me. I set my hands on the ground and closed my eyes. My mother had taught me something like this before, it was to connect with everything around me and to know what is miles away from me, just by the vibrations of the ground. 

I clear my mind and just sit in silence, only focusing on the ground and the movements I feel.....

Cole POV: 

From where I am I can here Dawn's thoughts. And for the record I would never hurt her. I can see that where she is, is a dangerous area. One of my kind or a human could find her, either way it isn't going to be good if she is caught. 

I climb a tree and wait for something to happen. A few moments later something does happen, I jump out of the tree and start running to her. I'm to late,Dawn is laying on the ground unconscious and bleeding. I pick her up and start running to my pack house. 

... 

When I get to the house I yell for the pack doctor and tell her to help Dawn. I get the sent of the attacker off of her cloths. It is strong and I notice something about it, but I couldn't pinpoint what it was. I have to find the ass hat that hurt her. I get to it, I run outside and shift into my wolf, sniffing the air, trying to find the scent. You maybe thinking why am I running to danger? The answer is, it's because Dawn is my. . . 

Dawn POV (backtrack): 

Once I clear my mind, I try to pinpoint where Cole is. I can feel the footsteps of creatures all around me and could almost feel there breathing. It is hard to know which footsteps were his because I had to know about how much he weighed. 

Suddenly I feel footsteps start running at me. I open my eyes just in time to see a object hurling towards my face. I jerk myself out of the way and the object hits the tree and falls to the ground. 

I fall slightly on the ground and use that as an advantage, I grabbed the knife in my pocket and pulled it out. I keep one hand on the gerund for support while the other held the knife and I faced my attacker. It was a full grown man, he wore pants with no shirt and he is built like a brick shit house. 

I glare at him, I could tell my eyes flickered to a yellow color because the man took a step back. I was about to attack when something huge hit the back of my head, knocking me unconscious.
