"Izzy, have you seen Clary lately?" Alec asks, walking into the kitchen.
"Last I saw her she said to tell you that she was going for a walk if you asked," Izzy tells him. He groans.
"Any idea where she went?" He asks.
"Same place she usually goes when she needs to think or just needs to get away from everything. It doesn't surprise me that this is the third time this week that she's gone to visit her mom's memorial. She really misses her. If she wants comfort then she'll sit on your bed, or Jace's, and draw. She's always drawing new runes or things that she can somehow pull out of her drawings," Izzy tells him. He nods.
"Are you making dinner?" He asks. She nods.
"I suppose I should go get her before she misses dinner again and mom and dad have a fit. She's too skinny as it is. She doesn't eat enough. She's always in her art studio, drawing or painting, and she forgets to eat and sometimes sleep. I've gotten up in the middle of the night because I can't sleep and the light in her art studio is still on. I'm worried about her. She seems more withdrawn lately," he says. She nods.

"This week is the week of her mom's anniversary so of course, she's more withdrawn lately," Izzy says. Alec sighs and slaps himself on the forehead.

"Shit! No wonder she's been more withdrawn. Why didn't she say anything?" He asks her.

"Why didn't who say what?" Mom asks, walking into the kitchen to get a soda.

"You tell her. I've got to go find our baby sister, bring her home and make sure she eats before talking to her before bed," Alec says to Izzy before walking out of the kitchen, grabbing his bow and arrow, walking out of the institute and coming to the Silent City to talk to me. He finds me kneeling before my uncle Alexei Morgenstern's memorial.

"Clary? Are you ok?" He asks, wrapping his arms around me, pulling me to my feet and holding me. I nod.
"Yeah, just needed some time to myself," I say to him.
"What's been going on with you lately other than the fact that this week is your mom's anniversary? You've been acting very strange and it concerns me," he says. I sigh.
"I just have a lot on my mind. My chemistry professor is being hard on me, my drawings aren't coming out the way I want them to and I have downworlders and demons trying to kill me plus I haven't been getting a lot of sleep lately," I explain to him. He nods.
"Makes sense. I can help with your chemistry class if you want," he says. I smile.
"That would be great Alec. Thank you," I say. He hugs me.
"Your welcome. Now, come on. Izzy was making dinner when I left to come find you," he says.
"I'm not hungry," I say, heading back then going into my room to work on my rune drawing. I manage to draw a new sketchbook and pull it out of the paper.
"Great, now I've got like ten sketchbooks on my bookshelf," I groan, changing and collapsing into bed after realizing that it's freaking ten at night and I'm usually in bed by nine. Meanwhile, Alec's in mom's office telling her what he and Izzy have noticed about me lately.
