Maki stared at the burnt and destroyed park. Nothing could be made out... well, except the sign. That was the only one that survived the explosion. Maki's eyes held no emotion. They still hadn't found the bodies. She couldn't wait any longer.
"Maki." She looked behind her and saw a tall male. She let out a shaky breath. She wasn't prepared to meet him. Especially now.
"H-Hey... cousin." She greeted nervously. She didn't know what to say. Well, it was already obvious. But... she didn't know how to answer.
"Maki," The male sighed. He looked at her and rested a hand on her tensed shoulder. "Calm down."
Maki didn't know what was happening. Why was the male calm? She didn't understand why. T-There's nothing to be calm about! Especially since the whole park was destroyed! And he told her to calm down?! How can she do that if she still didn't know how Akira is! Her shoulder started to shake as tears threatened to spill. She stared at her cousin.
"C-Calm...?" Her voice cracked. She was so close on crying. But she can't cry in front of her cousin! But, even if she forced it in, it still fell. "T-Tell me cousin... h-how can I be c-calm at a rate like t-this?"
Her voice was above whisper, and was shaky. True, she needed to be calm but the question is... how? How can she be calm if she still didn't see Akira's body, or the other one?! She didn't even know if both of them survived!
Maki looked down, embarrassed to face her cousin. Her hands formed into fists. She gritted her teeth as she forced herself to calm. But still, nothing. Nothing would happen even if she tried hard. But what surprised her was when she felt something warm on wrapped around her. Her widened eyes looked up and saw her cousin, hugging her tightly.
His gentle hug was warm and calming. Even if it was tight, Maki felt herself slowly calm. Her hand calmed as she hesitated to hug him back. Why was her cousin like this? Does she truly deserve this?
She only felt herself hug her cousin back. She was surprised when her cousin didn't let go. She slowly closed her eyes as she enjoyed the hug her cousin gave her. She sniffled as her tears stopped falling. She felt herself smile.
"C-Cousin," Maki called as her cousin broke the hug. "T-Thank you."
"Don't worry about it, cousin. How are you feeling?" The male asked worriedly. Maki smiled up at him.
"I feel fine, thanks to you." Maki said happily. Her cousin let out a relieved sigh.
"Come on then, let's go home."

A few hours later, a news reached Maki. She hurried down the park as she saw the body. She gasped, the bodies found were... badly injured. Especially Akira!
Maki walked near Akira's body slowly, observing her injured back. It was... badly burnt. Maki put her hands on her mouth as she fell on her knees. She let out a loud scream, terrified of what she just see.
"AKIRAAAAAA!!!!" Maki sobbed uncontrollably. "AKIRA!"
She immediately called for an ambulance. She wanted to heal Akira. She wanted to make sure she's fine. She wanted to make sure Akira is safe. She just really wanted to protect her. Maki sobbed and sniffled. The people nearby are giving her looks, well, they just witnessed her hysteria.
