"Well look who it is." said Hannah meanly towards May. Hannah had a dark complexion, short blonde hair, and blue eyes. She shouted her mean words towards May as loud and as mean as she could. May just tried to look away. "You cant escape baby May" as they called her. This has been her nickname all throughout the school year because she never talks, as a baby would do. " You know your hideous, May. Why do you even show yourself at school?" Gina remarked. Gina was Hannah's "side chick" as they would say. She wasn't to pretty herself, so she had no room to talk. As Gina shouted those mean, hurtful words, a single tear rolled down May's face. Her eyes started to get all puffy and red. That really hurt May's feelings, and they knew it. " Aww! Look Gina we made Baby May cry! Just like she usually does!" Hannah said. After Gina pushed her hair behind her ears, she leaned down in May's face and whispered, "Your dead to me, sweetie". For the rest of the day all May could think about was how she could fix everything and be popular for once. She came up with terrible ideas like, maybe if I start cutting myself, I'll actually be able to get attention. May didn't go through with any of these plans, because she couldn't harm herself like that. The bell rang a loud monotone dismissing school. May's house wasn't very far away from the school so she walked home everyday. Most of the kids walked home from school each day. May's worst memory from walking home was getting pushed down on the road roughly by one of her male classmates. She bled all the way home and nearly passed out until she approached her home. She tries to avoid others as much as she can when walking home so nothing bad will happen to her. She made a secret trail through the clump of forest trees leading directly to her home. This prevents her from running into others. Once she got home, the usual routine came along, only this time her parents weren't fighting. She slowly walked in and saw her parents chatting softly with each other sitting around the kitchen table. She peeked her head in the door, gave them a quick smile, then fixed herself some soup. After she ate, she got in she shower, then went to her room. May pulled the covers up over her head and silently cried herself to sleep that night. In the morning, she woke up and her eyes were red and puffy. She never looked like this before. She paniced and ran to her mother. " Mom! Mom! What's wrong with my eyes?" she shouted. " Its okay, sweetheart, they will go back to normal later today. Don't worry, because it's nothing to worry about." Said her mother in a caring voice. May walked back to her room, and put on her lovely school clothes. Today she wore a bright blue dress that was above her knees, it was strapless, and to pull it all together, she wore some tanned high heels. She looked absolutely gorgeous. As she hopped out of the car, she got looks from the boys, and the boys smiled at her. May's spirit quickly enlightned. Her day was now 10,000 times better. This had never happened to her before! She quickly flashed them back a beautiful white smile and walked on. Not paying attention, she clumsily runs into someone. As a strong hand reaches down to help her up, she looks at the face of an appealing boy she had seen before. " Hi, my name is Bo." A deep voice said to her.
