May was a lonely girl, always the last one to be noticed. She was the girl of an outcast, the one without any friends. 13 years of age, and very beautiful features. Bright green eyes and long black hair. Why doesn't anyone like me? What have i done to deserve this? She thought to herself. I have never done anything to anyone and i get all these terrible looks from others. What the kids at school don't know is that she lives in a house of drunken parents. The aroma from all of the beer bottles has made an awful smell. It reeks so strongly, that she has come to the point where she can't even smell it herself. Everyone makes fun of her because of the way she smells. The girls make fun of her because they are jealous of her. She is what all the girl wish to look like. Her mother buys her beautiful dresses, and nice expensive perfumes. She never applies it because she never knew how to use it. May usually comes home to a fight between her mother and father. She is usually told to eat dinner, take a shower, brush her teeth, then go to bed. As the orders stand, she carefully obeys them. She is a very obedient child because if she does different, she knows the consequences. As she goes to sleep at night, she listens to the sounds of crickets and stays up thinking about her life. She then goes to sleep after praying to her Lord, Jesus Christ. She is awoken in the mornings by the chickens that live nearby at Mr. Johnsen's residence. She quickly jumps up from her slumber, and makes her bed. Looking at her appearance in the mirror, the beauty that glanced back at her ,white tanned skin, her perfectly straight black hair, and her long black eyelashes. She rushed to the kitchen and ate her eggs, bacon, and jam. After brushing her teeth, she prepared her books and bag for school, then got in her mothers car. Her mother drove to Blaxeville Middle School and dropped her off at the front door. May walks in and glances at all the people and politely gives them a fresh white smile. All they do is slightly grin, and move on. Her heart hurts very badly when this happens. She knows she cant do anything about because, she don't even know whats wrong with her. All she thinks is that she was too late, that first day of school, or she was just Too Ugly. Thats all she thinks of herself. The girl she stares back at in the mirror is hideous. She belives Hannah, The most popular girl in school, is prettier than her. May is actually much prettier than Hannah, including all the other popular girls. It turns out the truth is, Shes Too Pretty.
