Thalia was terrified.
If you looked at here, you would never see fear. Thalia did an excellent job hiding it. Greg wanted his first installment today, and so far Thalia had nothing. Not to mention, her dad was stalking her. She had no idea how to express how angry she was, and she figured it was better not to tell the others. Besides, she'd enjoy glaring at her father from a distance. In last period, Thalia was starting to panic. Greg was waiting outside, and Thalia still had nothing to give him. That's when she did something drastic. In front of her, a girl with honey blonde curls was sitting in front of her. Her backpack was just sitting there, on the back of her chair. She made sure nobody was looking, and then reached for the front pocket. Her plan unfortunately backfired. The girl turned around, and Thalia stood still, frozen.
"What are you doing?" The girl asked.
"I was…stretching" Thalia lied. The girl raised an eyebrow but didn't question.
"I'm Hermione. But I'm not smart like the Harry Potter character." Hermione introduced herself.
"Thalia."
"So Thalia," Hermione leaned in "What were you actually doing? I've done some pretty bad stuff myself, you know."
"Like what?" Thalia inquired. Hermione looked around, as if to make sure nobody was watching, and then smirked.
"I steal. But I never get caught." Hermione explained. "Your turn."
"I need money." Thalia blurted out. Hermione raised an eyebrow.
"Alright, you could've just asked you know." Hermione pointed out. "How much?"
"How much do drugs usually cost?" Thalia sighed.
"Drugs?" Hermione bit her lip.
"I'm being forced to sell them…but I can't." Thalia explained.
"I'll give you 500, if that helps. But I won't take the drugs." Hermione suggested.
"Do you have that kind of money on you?" Thalia asked. Hermione didn't really give off the rich girl vibe. She wore faded jeans, a graphic tee, and converses.
"Yeah, I know I don't look like it…my mom's some rich business women. My mom was hoping for some girly girl she could dress up in ribbons and dresses, but I'm not that type of person." Hermione explained, as if she could read Thalia's thoughts.
"I can't take your money, it's yours." Thalia refused.
"Please, if I don't you could get in serious trouble." Hermione insisted.
"How can I pay you back 500?" Thalia hissed. Hermione just shrugged
"Pay for the extra toppings on my pizza?" She suggested, and handed over the money, the bell rang before Thalia could even protest. That was that. Thalia wasn't sure that she liked this Hermione character, but she seemed decent.

"She hates me." Zeus muttered to Poseidon, after he explained what happened.
"I can't blame her. That poor girl went through hell you know." Poseidon pointed out.
"You're not helping"
"Was I supposed to?"
Zeus sighed, he could never control his children, god or demigod. They were too stubborn and angry with him. He already had to patch things up with Artemis, and now he had Thalia to worry about. Being the king of the gods was never going to be easy.
"How did you get Percy not to hate you?" Zeus asked.
"We do have a decent relationship, but he's still got some anger inside of him. For leaving him, and letting Sally marry Smelly Gabe, but I guess-" Zeus cut him off with a look.
"Smelly Gabe? Isn't that what Percy calls him?"
"Who cares? It's true." Poseidon pointed out. Zeus chuckled.
"Sally was a good mother to Percy, wasn't she?" Zeus asked.
"She was." Poseidon agreed.
"Thalia never got that." Zeus muttered.
"Well, she has Artemis." Poseidon pointed out.
"Artemis is her sister, not her mother."
"That is true." Poseidon agreed.
"She also said…that she loves Nico." Zeus muttered. Poseidon nearly spit out his pineapple juice.
"Nico? As in Hades boy?" Poseidon asked, eyes wide.
"Yeah.."
"Hm, Aphrodite was right…" Poseidon noted.
"You realize the two would never work out, right? She's a hunter for crying out loud!" Zeus cried, rubbing his temple. This whole ordeal was giving him a headache.
"That's what I thought about Percy and Annabeth. My sons and Athena's daughters never work out, but they seem to really care about each other. I learned to accept it" Poseidon said, the most useful thing he'd ever said in his entire lifetime.
"So what? I'm just supposed to let her leave the hunters?" Zeus asked.
"Yeah, that's kinda what I'm saying" Poseidon nodded.
"You never help"
"I know"
-Troubled Olympians-
Athena did not want to spend after school alone with Poseidon. But they were the only two who bothered to show up to the Dance Committee meeting.
"I still think we should decorate the room with greens and blues" Poseidon was the first to break the silence.
"For the last time, no!" Athena cried in exasperation.
"Can we at least play the beach boys?"
"No!"
"Taylor Swift?" Poseidon asked.
"Alright, wait." Athena lifted her hand. "Since when do you listen to Taylor Swift? Isn't she Aphrodite's girl?"
"Yeah, but let's be honest, she's awesome. Even Zeus likes her music." Poseidon confessed.
"You're such a fish face." Athena muttered.
"Can't handle my awesomeness?" Poseidon asked, combing his shiny dark hair.
"Can't handle your stupidity" Athena remarked, Poseidon faked a pout.
"Don't be so mean Athenie!" Poseidon pouted.
"Athenie?" Athena raised an eyebrow.
"Yes. Athenie." Poseidon nodded. Athena sighed, and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. Poseidon couldn't help but notice how beautiful she looked. Grey eyes, dark hair. She was so incredibly modest, he didn't know how she did it.
"You know, I think we should play Bastille, I really like some of their songs." Athena said as she wrote something down. Poseidon was kinds stuck in a trance. "Hello?" Athena snapped her fingers in front of his face. Poseidon jumped.
"Huh? Yeah, The wiggles? Sounds good!" Poseidon said in panic.
"The wiggles?"
"Never mind"
There was a long silence, before Poseidon leaned in and kissed Athena. Much to his surprise, she kissed him back.
