On The Away There

I woke up to my mom pokeing me I looked up at her. "Come on hun were at the Waffle house" I sat up and looked out the window still looks like we were in Tennessee.

I got out fixing my hair and following my mom and dad inside. I walked to the bathroom and went into a stall to text Sam.

Nat: hey man I'm still in Tennessee but I'm at a waffle house.

Sam:alright man text me later I have to go

I didn't text back I walked out of the bathroom and sat down next to my mom. We ordered our food and ate. Dad paid for our food and we walked back to our car.

For some reason I had a feeling to look up. When I did I seen a black figure on the other side of the road. I squinted my eyes to try and get a better look. I still couldn't see who it was but it looked familiar.

I was pulled away from my concentration to my mom telling me to get in the car. I got in and laid down "what is with you?" I looked up at my mom "What do you mean?"

"What were you looking at" I blinked not knowing what to say. "Well. . . I thought I saw something" I tried to hide my uncertainty. "Oh, ok hun" I nodded and laid my head back down on my pillow.

We drove off and back on the road I glanced at my phone and seen that I received a text message.

Unknown: Why?

I was confused and I started texting back.

Nat: W-What?

Unknown: Why? Why didn't you tell me you were leaving?

I realized who this was. . . It was Jane!

Nat: Jane is this you?!?

The "unknown" number never texted back. I was a little frustrated but more sad. If that was Jane then I wanted to ask her so many questions. For instance where was she and if she is ok!

But she never texted back. I sighed softly not wanting my dad or mom to here. I turned over and put on some music looking at the seat hopeing the number texted agian.
