Chapter 04

The next morning Katie woke up with an exiting feeling bubbling in her chest. Today was her first lesson. Her first lesson was for her godson Harry Potter and his two best friends Ron and Hermione. They reminded her on her gang at school. Remus, Sirius, James, Peter and Lily. Tears welled up in her eyes while reminding Lily and James. 

13 years passed by after their deaths. She still felt emotional just thinking of them. Severus being here didn't helped either. 

She was a little angry at her dad for not telling her that Severus worked at Hogwarts as well. 

She was preparing something interesting for the third years class. It was a Gryffindor class and a Slytherin class she had to teach. 

She had something interesting that Hagrid would help her with this class. She came to him about Hippogrives. She knew that he knew a lot about the beautiful proud animals living in the forbidden forest. 

He offered to help during the class for the safety in numbers. Katie found it a good idea for an assistant with this case and took him on his offer. 

They were at the edge of the forrest to wait on the class. 'Well good first class then right professor Holt', Hagrid said grinning. 'I hope so, I can't wait to teach Harry, my godson, have I told you that he is my godson?', Katie said. 

'Errrm no you haven't, Dumbledore hasn't told me anything about your arrival professor Holt, he was eeerm actually going to give me the job for care for magical creatures. But your his daughter, so I understand', Hagrid said. 

Katie looked surprised. She didn't knew that Albus already had a care for magical creatures professor in mind. 

'I'm sorry if it looks like I'm stealing your job away, I never meant to. I didn't knew...', Katie started. She looked into the friendly eyes of the half giant. 

'Oh stop it, it doesn't matter to me, I love being a gamekeeper at Hogwarts, turns out I actually like you professor Holt', Hagrid said. 'Call me Katie, Hagrid please', Katie said. Hagrid nodded. 

The class finally arrived. Hagrid looked at the new professor. She was young, he knew about her story. Albus had told him in confidence how Katie became his adoptive daughter. 

This fisty looking dark haired woman was breath taking beautiful. She talked with such passion about magical creatures that Hagrid could swear she was related to Newt Scamander. 

Hagrid knew about Snape and this woman. Back in the day he saw them together many times. Even last night when Dumbledore introduced her as the new professor, she kept staring at him and he at her. It was all to obvious. But Snape will be Snape and he will hurt this woman. No doubt. He might already done that even. 

'Goodmorning class, welcome at your first lesson from me, as I've said. I'm professor Holt, your new professor care for magical creatures. I am tough but fair, everyone in this class will start of fresh with me. The old records you had with the previous teacher of this subject won't count anymore, I've already discussed this with professor Dumbledore and he agrees with me. 

'For right ensures you get points, you have to do something really wrong to loose points under my account', Katie said. 

Everybody listened. 'Good, now we got that covered, I have something very interesting to show you', Katie said. 

She walked with Hagrid into the forbidden forest. 'We go into the forbidden forest, but that is forbidden, only staff is allowed to come here', a pale boy with blond hair said. 

Katie looked around to see who said it. 'Name?', she asked the boy. The boy grinned evilish. 'Malfoy, Draco Malfoy', he said. 

'Mr. Malfoy, we are here for a class, I teach. Maybe you have noticed the professor sign spelled on my chest. 'You want to learn about magical creatures, so yes we are going into the forest so you can be teached', Katie said.
