Mermaids & Marauders: Since You've Been Gone

Chapter 14

The next morning. Second Christmas day. Katie woke up naked in Severus his arms. She had enjoyed some time alone with him. She looked at Severus his naked body that fits so perfectly with hers. 

'Hmmm your awake', Severus whispered and he went with his hand over her body. She instantly felt it tingle under his touch. She closed her eyes for one second to fully enjoy his touch. Then she went to sit on top of him again. 'You naughty girl, can't get enough of it can ya', Severus smirked. 'I don't see you complaining either', Katie said and she giggled when Severus pushed her back on the bed and entered her body once more. 

After their hot morning sex they took a nice bath together. All though there wasn't much room for Severus since Katies huge mermaid tail barely fitted into the bath. But he didn't complained. 

'We should get back to the castle soon, otherwise the others will wonder were we are', Severus stated. 'I agree, it has been lovely though my love', Katie said softly kissing Severus his lips. 'It sure has my love', Severus replied and he stroke her hair and grabbed her hand as they walked downstairs to the pub where they saw Albus Dumbledore and Minerva McGonagall chatting over some pumkin juice. 

Madame Rosmertha came towards them. 'Sleep well?', she smirked. 'Well, don't know about the sleeping part, but I had a marvelous time madame Rosmertha, we sure come back when we want some alone time', Katie said with a wink. 'Oh please, the entire Inn could hear you two', madame Rosmertha said laughing. 'Wait... what?', Katie said a little shocked and embarressed. 'It is only wood that is between the rooms you know', madame Rosmertha said grinning. 

'Albus, Minerva', Severus greeted. 'Good morning dad', Katie said hugging her father. 'So this is were you two were staying', Albus said. 'Dad... it's a holiday so we wanted some alone time', Katie said. 'It's fine Katie, I actually wanted to talk to Severus, can I borrow him from you', Albus said. 'Only if you promise to give him back', Katie teased. Severus pressed a soft and quick kiss on her lips and Katie sat down next to Minerva. 

'I don't think you guys will ever break up now, your love has been sealed, your soulmates', Minerva stated. 'That we are indeed', Katie sighted. 'You had a good time upstairs?', Minerva said grinning. 'Wait... please don't say you heard me', Katie said and she put her hands in front of her face for embarresment. 'I did, sorry. I was there for business, I passed by your room, didn't mean to listen', Minerva said. 'Oh my God', Katie said and she buried her face on the table. 'Hey it's okay, it's an Inn for a reason. You two obviously love each other very much', Minerva said. 

'So... you wanted to discusse something with me Severus', Dumbledore said. 'Well yes Albus I would, uuhm ever since I can remember I am in love with your daughter. So I wanted to ask your blessing so I can marry her', Severus said. 'Severus my boy, that makes me the happiest man on earth, I see how much you both love each other, I happily give you my permission', Albus said. They shook each others hands. 

'What is going on there', Katie wondered. 'Business for the order I think', Minerva said. 'Hmmm', Katie said suspicious. 

Severus and Albus both walked towards the two woman. 'Hey, what was that about?', Katie asked. 'Nothing, some order business', Severus said and he put an arm around her. 'There is something we need to talk about in private, I know you are not a part of the order Katie, but this concerns you too', Albus said. 

Katie walked with Severus, Minerva and Albus to the second floor to a room. 'This is were we were last night, so uuuh not to hard to hear', Minerva whispered. 'God Minerva, you were all two feet away', Katie said. 'Relax, Fudge didn't heard it', Minerva said grinning. 'The minister of magic was here too?', Katie said nervously. 

'And he is here now as well, Albus said you should be here, I think so too, nice to finally meet the daughter of Albus Dumbledore, I'm Cornelius Fudge. You can call me by my first name', Cornelius said. 'Nice to meet you too Cornelius, minister of magic', Katie said a little nervous. She took her seat on the couch next to Severus who was still holding her hand. 

'So... what I am about to say must not leave this room, does everybody understand that', Cornelius said. 

In the mean time Harry was in Hogsmeade. When he saw Dumbledore entering the Tree Broomsticks and he saw him meeting up with his godmother, he had to know. So he was hiding under his invisibility cloak to listen to the conversation that the minister of magic felt the need to have. 

'We all know what happened that dreadfull night that the Potters died', Cornelius said. Katie got tears in her eyes when he brought up her best friends. 'Lily died saving Harry's life with her love', Katie explained with tears in her eyes. 'Yes, but what not many people know, I don't know if you know this Katie, since he was also part of your friend group. But Sirius Black was the one who kept the location a secret from you-know-who', Cornelius said. 

'I did not knew this, I was living in the ocean at that time', Katie explained and she had no idea what this was about. 'Lily and James put their fate into the wrong person, Black betrayed their location to you-know-who, he was hungry for power you see. Peter Pettigrew tried to stop him, Black killed him as well. The only thing left of him was a finger', Cornelius said. 

Katie felt sick to her stomach. Sirius Black who she called her best friend once. Who she had dated in the past betrayed Lily and James. She couldn't think clearly and felt really sick. She let go of Severus his hand and ran to the nearest bin. She threw up in it. 'I don't feel so good, maybe it is because of the fact that I found out that Sirius Black, who was once one of my closest friends is now a follower of you-know-who. Not a double agent like you Severus, no he is...', Katie started but she could feel her stomach turn when she was thinking of it. She threw up again. 

'I can't believe it, Sirius Black a killer. I always thought many things of him, but not ever did I thought he was a killer', Katie said. 

Severus quickly went towards her and helped her back on the couch. He gave her a bottle of water and a tissue. 'Thank you', Katie whispered with tears in her eyes. 

'I'm sorry that I had to give you the news like this', Cornelius said apologatic. 'I am glad I know the truth now, but what do I tell Harry, I can't keep this a secret from him, he started to call me his mother. I don't want to lie about this, he deserves to know', Katie said. 'Since you are his godmother, I agree with you that you should be the one to tell him the news. I have one more thing you need to know. You are his godmother and we see you as Harry Potters care taker. However, Harry Potter also has a godfather. This might come as a shock to you all. Sirius Black is Harry's godfather', Cornelius said. 

Cornelius left, he had some other business to attend to. He was the minister of magic after all. 'I still feel sick to my stomach after hearing this', Katie said. 'Come on, let me take you back to the castle', Severus offered. 'They were my friends Severus, all of them. One turned into a killer and he betrayed James and Lily. I don't understand how this happened', Katie said. Tears were streaming over her cheeks. 

Minerva and Albus looked worried but didn't say anything. 'If Sirius Black and I ever cross paths again, I'll make sure I kill him or send him back to Azkaban, maybe I leave a finger, just like he did Peter', Katie said still crying. 'Peter, poor Peter. I always found him a bit of a fool, a nice fool, but a fool', Katie said. 'Katie', Severus whispered carefully. 'He betrayed my friends Severus', Katie cried out. She buried her face in his chest. Severus wrapped his arms around her and was rocking her back and forth. This was not quite the morning either of them anticipated.
