Orange light
Cracking sticks
Full hands
One percent
Buckles clanking, jingling in their walk up the drive
Hollow doors closing
Windows rattling in loose fixtures
Thin lids echoing against large hands tappingSmudged dents
Thin cracks
Peeling paint
Stumbling and struggling green shirt over broken consoleCrumb-filled seat
Sugar stiffened belt
Screeching engine
Squealing joint
Clicks echoed by each otherStatic radio
Stumbling words
Sit back in your seat
Enjoy the ridePhone is charging
Lights are blurring
Sound is fuzzy through windows leakingDark sky interrupted
By lights and life unnatural
Our world is broken
And yet we carry on
