The warm sound of a zipper cutting the air
A large zipper
Not the nightmare of a pants zipper
Or the monotony of a backpack zipper
The zipper of a medical bag
Holding tools for lifePaper shuffling
Pain in my chest
Uncomfortable
Too warm
Too cramped
Not enough airQuiet rooms make me nervous
Make my chest tight
Make my jaw clamp onto my cheek
Hoping for feeling
Anything
Anything but silent numbnessI sit back
Stretch my shoulders
Lean my head
Hoping for feeling
For an inconsistency
To break me out of thisOut of the bubble I'm in
Too hot
Too tight
Too quiet
Too numb
I can't feelAnd I'm not even anxious
