Cardin: Lucky shot. *collapses*

Glynda: Well done, Miss Nikos. You should have no problem qualifying for the tournament.

Pyrrha: Thank you, professor.

Glynda: *Tapping her Scroll.* Alright, now I know that's a tough act to follow, but we have time for one more sparring match. (Glynda looks around at the observing students.) Any volunteers? Ms. Belladonna? (Blake slams her book shut and stares wide-eyed at Glynda.) You've been rather docile for the past few classes. Why don't you -

Mercury raises his hand.

Mercury: I'll do it.

Glynda: Mercury, is it? Very well, let's find you an opponent.

Mercury: Actually, I wanna fight... him.

Mercury points to Shadow, who looks up from his book.

Glynda: Mercury, I wouldn't advise fighting Shadow. Please-

Shadow: *sets down his book* No, it's fine. I'll fight him.

Shadow and Mercury make their way to the fighting stage. Mercury walks up the stairs and waits for Shadow, as Shadow pulls out his sword and stabs it into the ground, leaving the sword behind before he walks up the steps.

Blake: Why isn't Shadow using his sword?

Yang: Idk...maybe he's handicapping himself.

Shadow looks to Meurcury, who is smirking as Shadow enters into a brawler stance.

Shadow: Let's dance Mercury...

Glynda: Let the match begin!

Mercury charges towards Shadow and delivers a series of kicks at Shadow, who blocks each one an counters with a punch to Mercury's chest, making him back off. Mercury shrugs it off and returns to finding a opening, striking multiple times as Shadow keeps blocking and countering.

Ruby: *leans over to Emerald* Your friend is pretty good.

Emerald gives a fake smile and then rolls her eyes as Ruby turns her back. Shadow keeps blocking Mercury's attacks. Mercury eventually goes for an axe kick as Shadow catches the the attack.

Shadow: *looks at Mercury* Gottcha...

Shadow then flips Mercury and throws him into the ground as Shadow backflips away as a orange light surrounds Shadow's hands.

Glynda: [That glow...it...it can't be...]

Shadow walks towards Mercury as he stands to defend against the attack.

Shadow: *rushes forward* Oversoul!

Shadow quickly hits Mercury twice in the face before hitting him in the gut. Mercury takes a knee as Shadow does a somersault, kicking him in the chin as Mercury flies into the air from the hit. Shadow then has the orange glow turn into water.
