Shadow is in his dorm, sitting on his bed as Rinoa and Midnight observe his room. Shadow looks at his newly acquired daggers, thinking about what he as truly awakened.
Shadow: [Arsene...is this the power that was hidden within me...or was it Faith?]
Shadow puts his daggers on the table before he lays on his bed, deep in thought before Rinoa looks at the family photo on his shelves. She walks over and picks it up, observing Shadow's family in the picture before turning to Shadow.
Rinoa: Shadow...is this what you have left of your family?
Shadow: Well...Yeah I suppose...
Rinoa: I...don't remember having two brothers...only you...
Shadow: Well...Bartz wasn't exactly, around a lot before you left, not that I would know when you left.
Rinoa: *puts the photo back onto the shelf* So...what was Bartz like?
Shadow: Well, he was a lot like dad...an energetic go-getter, but he had less caution then dad. He would constantly get hurt from either training, playing around, or just tripping cause he wasn't paying attention, but he would always get back up with a smile.
Midnight: The boy knew how to fight, but it was...sloppy to say the least. Unpredictable, but sloppy.
Rinoa: I see...he must've been hard to deal with early on.
Shadow: It's something I grew up with, so I wasn't annoyed be it too much.
The conversation is interrupted by a knock on the door, which makes Shadow sit up as he looks at the door.
Shadow: Come in.
The door opens as the visitor enter's, who happens to be Amber. She's wearing a heavy coat and scarf, with a different hairstyle as she enters the room.

Shadow: Amber! It's good to see you again.
Amber: Yeah...It's been quite a while.
Rinoa: Hey there! Name's Rinoa.
Midnight: Midnight, Pleasure to meet you.
Amber: It's an pleasure to meet you all as well. Though I wish to bring a message for Shadow.
Shadow: Really? Who's it from?
Amber: It's from Ruby...she wants a favor from you...
Shadow: A...favor? For what?
Midnight: Well, it'll be best if you don't keep her waiting. Get going!
Shadow: Fine...Amber just wait here. I need to discuss some things with you all when I get back.
Shadow stands up and grabs his daggers and sheathes them before leaving the room. The three look at each other as Shadow closes the door.
Amber: *looks at Rinoa* So...your Shadow's sister?
