Kara pov

Intro
Hey my name is Kara. I have a 4 year old daughter called Maddy. You probably know her father, Jonah Marais from the Band Why Don't We. But there's a problem... he doesn't know about Maddy. She wasn't planned at all. It all happened on a party and we were dating for only 2 months. God I was only 17 and he was 19  I didn't want to destroy his whole career. I've never told him and broke up with him for the reason I had to go back home to Minnesota. I ended up really going back because I couldn't stand the fact that we lived in the same city but I couldn't be with him. But back in Minnesota something terrible happened. I got a new boyfriend who didn't mind the fact that I have a daughter but after a couple of months he became abusive. He beat me and often locked me in the basement. After 5 months of daily abuse my mum made me break up with him and I moved back to Los Angeles to get away from him. I live in LA again for only 2 months and luckily I haven't seen Jonah yet. I still have feelings for him. I've never lost them since I broke up with him but I know that he doesn't feel the same. I don't know how I should tell him about Maddy and the abuse. But he doesn't even love me anymore. He's so famous now he literally could have every girl he wouldn't choose me again.

Back to now

Maddy: can we go to the park pleaseee mummy
Kara: Yes we can Maddy come get ready

She happily runs upstairs and comes down in her jacket. I stay in my leggings and my hoodie since no one will care anyways.

I help Maddy to put her shoes on and put on my vans. We walk out of our apartment and walk to the park with the big playground.

We arrive and Maddy immediately runs to the other kids while I sit on a bench and watch her play.

The other moms stare at me since I'm so young but honestly I'm used to it.

Suddenly I hear some girls scream

Girls: OMG IT'S WHY DON'T WE

No. Wait. Not now this can't be happening.

I get up and I'm about to go when I hear a voice behind me.

Jonah: Kara?!

I slowly turn around and look at him. Wow he's still as hot as he was when not even hotter.

Kara: Hiiii
I put hair behind my ear and look down.

Jonah: Oh my god I thought I'm never going to see you again

Suddenly he pulls me into a big hug. I'm lying if I say I'm not enjoying it. I've always loved his hugs.

Then I hear a Maddy's voice beside me.

Maddy: Mummy does a guy hurt you again?
Kara: No Maddy he doesn't hurt me

Jonah looks at Maddy then at me than back at Maddy and back at me. I can't hide that it's his daughter. The eyes the face you can clearly see that this is Jonah Marais' child.

He stares at me while gasping. I stare back trying to hold back my tears.

Maddy: Mummy I don't want a guy to hurt you again
Kara: Maddy I've already told you he didn't hurt me

Suddenly Jonah kneels down in front of her.

Jonah: What do you mean with a guy hurting your mummy
