Daniel-Baby sister

I sit on my couch with my 3 year old sister Rosie watching cartoons. Our parents are out of town for a week because of work. My boyfriend of 2 years Daniel Seavey comes over in around half an hour to help me with Rosie since she's s bit hard to handle when our parents aren't around.

I remember that I have to bath Rosie this evening so I text Daniel to just come into my house by himself because I don't want to leave Rosie alone in the bathtub.

I pick Rosie up and walk upstairs to fill the bathtub with warm water. Rosie starts crying. Oh no I forgot that bathing her is always super hard since she's scared of being alone in the water. She definitely has to bath today so I quickly hug her telling her that it's okay and that I'll hurry to wash her so she can get out soon.

She continues crying while I set her in the tub. I take strawberry shampoo and wash her thin blond hair. Even though I'm very carefully she won't stop crying. I take her out of the water and dry her with a fluffy towel. Rosie cries and cries, usually mom can make her stop but she's obviously not here.

I help her put on her fluffy baby pink bathrobe and try to calm her down but nothing works, she's still crying like someone's about to murder her like literally screaming.

Daniel must have heard her when he came here because he knocked on the bathroom door. ‚Come in' I say exhausted while Rosie keeps crying and screaming. ‚Bathtub?' he says with a understanding smile. ‚Bathtub.' I say tired. ‚D-D-Daniel' Rosie screams. They know and love each other for a long time now.

„Should I take her for some minutes so you can relax a bit?" I nod with a sad smile hoping that Daniel can calm her down a bit.

He picks her up from my lap and puts her hood on her little head so she can be all comfy in his arms. Rosie instantly snuggles into his hoodie and he rocks her back and forth while singing calming songs. I just smile at the sight. He's absolutely perfect. After a couple of minutes of Daniel holding her tight she stops crying and falls asleep snuggled up in his chest.

Her hair has dried by now so I just change her into her yellow flower pyjama. Daniel carries her into her bad and kisses her forehead. I stand there in aw. It's too cute.

After that Daniel and I go downstairs to watch a movie. He puts an arm around my waist while I cuddle into his side. Halfway through the movie I her loud crying coming from Rosie's room. „It's okay I'll take care of that" Daniel says understanding that I'm tired asf. After some minutes Daniel comes downstairs with Rosie safely in his arms.

„I want mommy and daddy" Rosie says sad. I look down. Daniel lays down text to me while kissing my cheek. He lays Rosie down on his chest and puts his arm around me. Then he puts a blanket on top of us three. By now Rosie is already asleep again. I don't know why this little cutie falls asleep so fast when she's with Daniel but I don't mind it's really cute.

We lay there like a happy family and I couldn't be happier. „I love my girls" is the last thing I hear from Daniel before I fall asleep.
