A few weeks later after the party it nearly came to the end of the year DJ became a dork again. Teased by Chelsea and Xena, had no friends and dumped Mark. The response she got for students was two gawking eyes that each person had when she walked past. A million thoughts in their head, probably a million ways to describe how much of a bitch DJ was. It was like she was new again but with an even worse atmosphere. Every pair of eyes was like a blinding torch that whenever DJ met their eye, she would burn. But not burn literally…burned in the heart, soul and dignity.
She couldn’t face school no longer! School to her was like a place of giants and a tiny mouse left out just managed to tread.
It wasn't the same. Everytime she saw Mark he looked away, same with Celeste and Jay and Chelsea and Xena thought of rumours about DJ that were untrue like "DJ tried have sexual intercourse with Brian which cause her and Mark to break up". It was horrible, and much worse. Brian was nowhere in sight of DJ.
Brian still roamed around the school but if he ever saw DJ in a distance he'd turn and walk the other way. DJ had lost everything. Brian had loved her, and all the years she didn't even bother with him.
Every night DJ went home from school, she cried. Cried and cried and cried. If she ate it would be in her room. The only people she would talk to were the people online she versed in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and the bus driver. The bus driver always had a sad look on his face as DJ got on, as if he felt her pain. But he did.
It was now the 1st of December and DJ caught the bus with not a glare from Celeste and Jay. School had ended and DJ caught the bus home. Her stop was the last stop but before she could get off, the bus driver stopped her.
'Hey, you're the uh...tomboy girl' said the bus driver as DJ was tired, she replied negatively.
'No...i think you got the wrong girl...i'm the nobody' said DJ as the bus driver smiled. The bus driver signalled DJ to sit down. DJ sat down but felt quite awkward. The bus driver was pretty old but he seemed like a nice and kind fella.
'Now you my child are no nobody' he said seeming quite wise.
'Everybody else thinks i am' replied DJ still feeling negative about herself. To be honest, how was the bus driver going to make her feel better.
'Ah, but that...is everyone else...What do you think about yourself? hmm?' asked the bus driver. DJ thought deep and hard about this. She had never thought about this...but then her negativity set back in.
'Look sir i think that....' before DJ could finish the bus driver interrupted.
'Please child, call me Ron' said Ron with a pleasant smile as DJ smiled too.
'Okay...Ron...To be honest....i don't know who i am...I mean so many years, i've been a tomboy then i'm a girly girl and now i'm just me...just plain old me' said DJ so troubled. But for some reason, Ron had seemed happy.
'That was the answer I was expecting' said Ron proudly as DJ looked at him confused. WTF? Who does this guy think he is...Yoda? thought DJ.
'What do you mean?' asked DJ feeling quite obscured.
'Think of what you said' replied Ron.
'But i only said that i am me, just plain old me...this is so...abstruce' said DJ still feeling obscured. Until is hit DJ. This one hit her like someone smashing her electric guitar in her face. she was herself!
'Now that you have made a mistake, not only have you learnt something...but you have discovered who you truly are...' before Ron could finish, DJ excitingly interrupted.
