Gumball Watterson x Modern! reader

The Decision

Heyyyy, I am back in the game!

(Y/n)'s p.o.v

I stood and was about to walk away from the table, but Rocky stops me, I look at him curiously, and that's when I noticed dad's face looks soft. "Gumball I may not like you..... wait I completely despise you, but if you tried this hard to impress us, maybe you are a good influence for my daughter." Everyone else's faces went into shock, even moms "meh meh meh meh meh?!" She asks dad. Rocky rolls his eyes and says "mom he said it because these guys are really good once you get to know them.

Look at everything they've done just so they could keep (Y/n) as a friend!" Mom and dad look around the room. It actually looked like someone put up decorations, but it got covered up by the cake Gumball and Darwin made. Besides the cake everywhere the place looks amazing! I smile "this place does look pretty cool." Dad rolls his eyes at my opinion and says "I only said what I said because these goofballs are gonna need some help getting out of trouble.

I'm trusting your choices in people (Y/n)" dad says looking me in the eye, I nervously laugh, and Gumball puts his arm around my shoulder saying "don't worry Mr. Robinson, we'll be fine." I nod and grab Darwin and bring him into the hug, we all smile with innocent eyes. Mom actually laughs.... oh my god I'm softening her up! This is the first time she actually laughed. The only time she ever laughed was laughing at someone else's pain, or at her comeback to dad.

Dad laughs a little and says "okay, I'll let you even stay the night if it's okay with these guys" Mr. and Mrs. Watterson nod at that. I smile and ask "how about tonight? I can just go and grab my pjs and I'm ready." They agreed, oh my gosh this is gonna be so fun! I smile big and say "okay guys I'll be right back. Just gotta grab my pjs and we can have some fun!" I run out the door with my family walking behind me.

Gumball's p.o.v

I sigh out of relief, this was hard, now I get to hang out with (Y/n) without any consequences! Mom clears her throat. "Gumball Watterson, you are gonna clean up this mess, (Y/n) doesn't have to help unless she wants too." I nervously laugh and nod my head "okay mom, c'mon Darwin, let's start cleaning" he starts to clean. I do too, I can't wait for this sleepover with (Y/n)! Maybe we can watch a movie! Yeah that sounds good.

No one's p.o.v

Nicole smiled at the sight of her two boys cleaning up without a complaint, Richard was surprised at this. He pulls Nicole into the living room, out of earshot I might add, and says "this is a first" Nicole agreed. "That girl is a keeper, I had my doubts on Penny, but (Y/n)...." both parents looked at you as you walked in and helped scrape cake off the walls. "(Y/n) is changing Gumball.... making him show his better side of him that Penny couldn't."

Anais facepalmed hearing this "oh please, they're changing eachother! Just look at (Y/n), she looks like one of those girls who needs to let loose a little. While Gumball needs to set himself some ground rules, and stop letting loose, they are perfect for eachother." They all nod, and Richard finally says "they're like popcorn and butter..... mmmmm popcorn." The girls with Richard laughed at his words, you three already finished with the cake.

Seeing them laughing made you guys feel left out, so you all just laughed, not knowing why but you did anyway. The mother and daughter stop laughing at the sound of you three laughing, then you stopped. The two best friends kept at it, and Gumball, not knowing he was talking out loud, says "maybe if me and Darwin keep laughing, they'll never know we don't know what's happening." Darwin facepalmed at that and said "we're just gonna pretend he didn't say that, right?" You all agreed.

Gumball finally stopped laughing and says "okay, let's go upstairs and plan on what we're gonna do tonight." You and Darwin nod, and run upstairs along with Gumball, everyone in the Watterson house did their own thing. It took you guys awhile to stick with a single plan on what to do, all planned out until you go to bed. The only thought racing through your guys minds was......

'This should be fun!'
