The Realizations

No one's p.o.v

(Y/n) reaches out for the weird remote, but Rob stands up and gets the remote out of her reach "I can't let you!" Rob says while looking down sadly. (Y/n) was confused on his actions "why not?" She asks crossing her arms "because it was probably nothing. You were probably imagining things!" Rob says again, (Y/n) looks at Rob really upset now. "Hey, look, is that Gumball?" (Y/n) asks pointing at a random dude who turned out to be Principal Brown. "What, where?!" Rob asks putting both of his arms down to look for where (Y/n) was pointing.

With that (Y/n) grabs the remote from Rob, puts her hand on his shoulder, pushes a button on the remote, and brings them back to that night. (Y/n) finally looks out the window instead of laying down, and she sees Rob right there with a wide eye. "Rob?!" (Y/n) asks shocked at his presence, but he grabs the remote from (Y/n) and brings them back. When they're back though, (Y/n) steps away from Rob "why were you watching me?" (Y/n) asks. Rob didn't know what to say "ummm-" "if you knew where I lived, then why listen to my lie?" (Y/n) asks again.

(Y/n)'s p.o.v

I grab the remote from his hand as I'm standing in front of him, he's looking at me, unsure of what to say "(Y/n), you know how this world is gonna end." His first words and they actually got my attention "okay, continue" I say and look him in the eye. "You got brought into this world for a reason!" I roll my eyes at him "yeah, we all get brought into the world for a reason." 'Does he know about me not being from here???' I think as I try to make him think otherwise. "Follow me" he says and we walk all the way to a gym "why here?" "People don't willingly exercise."

I nod in understanding "true, but go on with what you were saying" he sits down on a bench, so I do the same "you're not from here, you're too smart. I can tell-" "so you think I came from out of this world??" I joke to make him think I'm from here. "Okay, maybe you're not that smart-" "what you talkin bout? I am too smart!" I say in my defense, but he ignores that. "That's just it, you came from a different dimension, you got brought here to save this one. I can't do this alone, and everyone else is either too stupid, or they're my enemy" "true true."

I stand back up saying "well, do you really wanna know where I come from?" I ask 'am I really gonna be telling him?' I think to myself. He nods his head saying "I really want to know why this world is gonna end, I need to know why. It might be able to help us with saving it!" I sigh and look Rob in the eye "where I come from, this world is a cartoon. Created by some dude, where the main characters are Gumball and his family, his name is even in the title." Rob's face was so readable it's not even funny, he's so shocked by my words he looks like he's about to faint.

"The show is called 'The Amazing World of Gumball' and just know that he didn't make you the villain, the creator did, I shouldn't even be telling you this right now. I'm really breaking the fourth wall here" he looks at me confused for my words, but I shake my head. "Don't ask-" "so my entire life is all a lie?" Rob interrupted me while looking at me sadly. I nod slowly "kinda, but on the other point if you think about it, alot of peoples lives are a lie. Have you met actors, they think they're gonna get noticed by how wealthy they are, when they're not. They're gonna get recognized by the people they played!"

Rob looks up at me as he sighs and stands up "yeah..... I guess you're right.. well, do you think we'll even have a chance on saving the show?" Rob asks me. "Rob, think about it, shows have to end at some point, they can't go on forever and ever for the characters. It has to end-" "have you ever heard of Stellar Odyssey?" Rob jokes, I roll my eyes playfully and laugh a little. "Very funny, besides that though, shows have to end at some point, and I don't think this is gonna end quick. I think we'll be fine-" "where would we go after this show ends??" Rob interrupted me again.

"I.... I never really thought of that" I say and put a hand to my chin "well now think about it! When this show ends, we won't be in Elmore anymore. We'll be where all the ended shows go.... or we'll all die, depends" Rob says putting a hand to my shoulder. "(Y/n) I don't want to die before I even turn sixteen!" "You're fifteen?" I ask out loud. He nods "yeah, what'd you think I was twelve?" We both laugh at the question, but I stop after a second. "You gonna be okay?" I ask him, he nods and says "well, I still want to stop the show from ending. Or at least save the people of this town."

I smile and say "do you really think I, a twelve, almost thirteen year old girl, could make a difference with saving it?" "If a fifteen year old can, so can twelve. Please" I shake my head, Rob looks at me sadly and says "well, I tried, still want to be friends?" I nod. "Only if you still want too" I say, he nods "okay, see you tomorrow?" Rob asks holding his fist out. I fist bump him and say "see you tomorrow, I'll keep the time travel machine for now, don't worry. I won't use it for evil" he nods, and I'm wondering if us being friends is gonna last long because of him and Gumball being a nemesis to one another.
