AVENGERS: Fate.

PART 1

A LONG TIME AGO:
A baby was born in the Palace of Asgard, a baby boy with bright blue eyes and blonde hair, the King and Queen named him Thor Odinson. Thor had two soulmarks decorating his body, neither were recognised by the Asgardians, one was a science beaker and the second a black skull with six tentacles. Thor had to wait over a thousand years before the inside of the beaker turned green and then he had to wait a little longer before the skull and tentacles turned red, signifying the birth of his soulmates.

1910's:
Two baby boys were born in Brooklyn, New York, just one year apart. The oldest had blue eyes and dark brown hair, he was named James Barnes. James wasn't born with any soulmarks, the second boy on the other hand was born with two. Steven Rogers, a blue eyed, blonde haired boy, had a bird wing and a black skull with six tentacles. When Steven flew a ship into ice to save lives, he hadn't met either of them, they hadn't even been born yet. When he woke up in 2011, the wing was brown and the skull with tentacles was red, it terrified him because he recognised the symbol as HYDRA.

1960's:
A baby boy with lightly tanned skin, brown eyes and black curly hair was born in the late 1960's, he was named Robert Banner. Robert had two soulmarks, one was a black skull with six tentacles, the other a lightning bolt, which was yellow and already active. It took nearly 25 years before the skull with tentacles turned red.

1970's:
In 1970 a baby boy was born with brown eyes and dark brown hair, he was named Anthony Stark. Anthony had two soulmarks, one was a spider and the other a black skull with six tentacles. About ten years later the spider turned black, then another ten years passed before the skull and tentacles turned red. A baby boy with blue eyes and light brown hair was born and named Clinton Barton. Clinton was born with two soulmarks, a black skull with six tentacles and a set of footprints. In the 1990's the footprints turned white and the skull with tentacles turned red. A boy with dark skin, brown eyes and black hair was born in the late 1970's, he was named Samuel Wilson. Samuel had two soulmarks, a black skull with six tentacles which turned red in the 1990's and a white star, which was already active when he was born.

1980's:
A baby girl with green eyes and dark ginger hair was born in Russia and was named Natalia Romanova. Natalia was born with two soulmarks, a black skull with six tentacles, which gave her parents a lot of pleasure, signing her up for the Red Room academy as soon as she was old enough, and it activated red while she was at the Academy. Her second soulmark, a light blue circle with a smaller circle inside, had been active since birth.

1990's:
In the early 1990's, a set of twins were born in Sokovia, both with blue eyes and dark brown hair, one was a baby girl named Wanda Maximoff and the other was a baby boy named Pietro Maximoff. Wanda was born with no soulmarks, but her twin brother was born with two, one was a black tipped arrow which had been active from birth and the other a black skull with six tentacles, which activated red when he was only a few years old.

1992:
WINTER SOLDIER POV:
I'm sitting in a lab, having my arm fixed from a mission, I can hear a woman screaming in the room next door. It sounds like she's in agony, when I first entered the room she was already screaming. Eventually she stops and everything goes quiet, too quiet. Then people start rushing from my room into hers, I don't know what's going on and I know better than to ask, so I just wait patiently for my arm to be fixed so I can leave. Once I'm fixed, I'm escorted out of the lab, as I pass the room beside me, I get a glimpse inside... A woman with light brown hair is sitting with something bundled up in her arms, the woman looks sort of familiar, but I don't know why.

HYDRA DOCTOR POV:
I help my patient through giving birth, when the baby is out I cut the umbilical cord and immediately carry the baby into another room to check it over. As I'm cleaning the baby I notice a few things, firstly it isn't crying, but is definitely alive, secondly it's a girl and thirdly she's covered in symbols.

How many soulmates does this child have!? I'd better let the boss know immediately.

I call two scientists over "I need the boss here, I also need a notepad and pen." They head in opposite directions, when one returns with a notepad and pen I ask them to leave me, I then draw each of the symbols from the baby's body. Once each symbol is drawn, I wrap up the baby and take her to her mother "Congratulations, it's a girl." I hand her over, then the boss walks in "So tell me, Doctor. Is the child what we'd hoped it would be?" "I don't know about her abilities yet, if she even has any, it'll take time to figure that out. But there is... something." I hand him the notepad, he flicks through the pages "What are these?" "Soulmarks, Sir." "8? Are you sure?" The mother unwraps her baby to have a look "Oh my!" My boss narrows his eyes at the drawings, trying to figure out what they all mean.

This is going to be either very good or very bad. Either she'll lead us to total victory and her soulmates will help her along the way, or she'll switch sides to be with them. Such a huge risk, they might just put her down.

The boss gives me a look and I look to the mother, who's stroking the cheek of her baby, they seem to have already bonded.
