Chapter Three A New Friend: Eve

I watched him pull his hood down and saw a Buizel standing in front of me. It was the friend that my sister told me about.

"What are you doing out here? It's not safe for a young girl to be roaming these woods alone." he smiled.

"I was told to come find you and that you would help me try to understand my powers."

He gave me a confused look "And who told you to come find me?"

"My sister Crystal the Sylveon, we both are daughters of the Gilded Family."

He rubbed the back of his neck and nodded. "Ah yes Crystal, then you must be Eve. Come then, we have a lot to talk about."

He pointed towards a direction and started walking that way. I quickly followed after him and stayed close.

"Are you and my sister close?" I asked

"Well...sort of, she and I met at the market in Palaven. We didn't know each other at all actually. I was buying some new clothes while she was patrolling the streets with her squad. The way we actually met was when someone stole a lot of valuable items and was running through the crowd. I being the good citizen chased after him to stop the thief. Your sister chased after us and actually thought that I was also a thief. After a while of chasing, I was able to bring down the thief and grabbed the bag of valuables. I was trying to give it to your sister but she drew her sword on me telling me that she can't be easily fooled."

He looked at me and chuckled. "Let's just say that I beat her and she let me go after a misunderstanding. I honestly didn't realize that she was part of the law until after the arrest. She also complimented my swordsmanship which was pretty awesome considering that your sister is one of the high commanding officers of the law. After that she requested to know my name and we exchanged info and that was it."

I smiled and nodded. "Well I am really glad she met you. You do seem pretty strong, I mean you took out all those hunters out with one punch, but if you don't mind me asking. What is your power? I was confused because you used a fire type move and an electric type move."

He looked over at me and stopped walking as we were on the edge of a hill and in front of us was the waterfall. "I will let you know after we get to my home, here climb on my back and hold tight." He says getting down on one knee. I climbed on top of his back and held onto him tight as he then stood up.

He started to run very fast as he jumps off the edge of the hill and straight into the waterfall landing in a cave hidden behind it. He slowly put me down and stood up. "This is my home, feel free to make yourself at home."

I smiled happily and hugged him tight "Thank you Bui."

"Bui?" He chuckled and hugged me back "Of course, you're safe here."

He pointed to one of the rooms. "You can take that room right there. It's my sister's room, she won't be here for a while so you can just wear whatever she has."

"Will that be okay? I wouldn't want to take her things without permission." I asked a bit concerned.

He nodded and shook his head a bit. "Yes of course...she lives somewhere else and left her things here. I'm sure she may be to big for some of those anyway."

I walked over to her room and turned on the lights. It seemed like just a normal room, nothing really made it more girly or manly. "What was your sister's name and where is she now?" I asked.

He came over and leaned on the door and sighed. "Her name is Skylar and well...." He was quiet for a few seconds.

"O-oh if you don't want to tell me it's okay, I understand."

He shook his head and spoke again. "No no it's fine, it's just....she's back at my home town at the hospital. She has a disease that currently has no cure. Many doctors have been trying to figure out a source of medicine that could possibly cure it. I requested to help find some things that could make a cure for her. So far I only found 4 out of the 10 things that could help create the cure."

"I'm sorry to hear that Jayson, I didn't know." I said holding his hand.

" No it's okay, it's not your fault." He smiled and held my hand as well. "Anyway I think we both should get some rest. You need it, especially since you were given new powers. Your sister will also be here in the morning to inform us what she has given you."

I looked at him and nodded hugging him once more to give him some comfort. He smiled and turned around and walked to his room that was next door. I closed my door softly and started to lie down in bed. I looked up at the ceiling and raised my hands up in front of me looking at them and sighed heavily. "What did you put inside me Crystal?"
