Hajime cleaned the inside of the drinking glass with a rag, putting it up to the light to double check for any marks or smudges that would usually be left along the rim. Ladies going through heartbreak would typically leave smudged lipstick stains along the glass and even though the sign on the wine display and the front of the counter clearly read, "please do not drink beverages if lipstick is smudge-able. thank you :)" it was only a select few who would actually read the sign. This was frustrating for hajime and his partner, kazuichi souda, becuase it meant they would have to stay afterward to clean the lipstick smudges, and it was extremely difficult to scrub without leaving marks on the glass.

the loud thumping and vibrating of the club he had been bartending at for years never bothered him. he was used to the disruptance by now and was almost 100 percent sure he was tone deaf. kazuichi had only just recently began working alongside him, so the noise was a big bother for him when they worked, and regardless of hajimes attempts to convince him that the noise wasnt all that bad, he continued to complain about it. hajime had learned to simply ignore his remarks at those points in time, becuase he knew souda would drop it.

the bar area was fairly close to the door, so hajime could look over anyone who entered the building. he had seen some pretty strange individuals, as well as some pretty attractive ones, but no one he had ever seen could prepare him for the people who walked through the door on this night.  it was at least 9:38 pm, the music was bumping and occasional drunk friends would come to the bar to sit down and sober up. He remembered a certain brown-haired man, he looked about hajimes age, approaching the bar. his hair was dishreveled, and he looked like he would drop dead in a few minutes. he expected him to be an angry drunk, but it turned out the male was quite nice. he introduced himself to hajime like they had been long time friends, and hajime couldnt help but feel relieved that he wasnt going to get a bottle to the head "ah! thank you. im naegi. makoto naegi." the male smiled, taking the cup of ice cold water from hajimes hands. hajime gave makoto a warm smile "im hajime hinata, you look exaughsted, would you like me to rent a room for you in the back? you're more then welcome to rest. we wouldnt want you to dance till you drop" hajime joked. makoto shared his laughter along with hajimes attempt at making conversation, and nodded after taking a sip from his cup "that would be great. say, you look a little young to be working here. No offense at all! you just age really well" makoto chuckled. blush dusted over his cheeks as he smiled "you really think so?"

hajime had gotten a fair share of compliments about his face and shape. he looked about 18, and he was thin and pretty faced. of course he knew that he was fairly attractive, but he didnt want to come off as cocky, so he would act modest, insisting that he hadnt noticed, or he wasnt all that good looking. makoto smiled, leaning back in his chair "if i didnt know any better, i'd have thought you were a highschool student. say, whats a man like you doing bartending this place? its for broken and lonely hearts, dont tell you got a girl on your mind" makotos smile was young, and hajime felt an odd connection with this stranger. he was very warm and welcoming, even for just meeting someone. It was true though, hajime had recently gone through a rough break with one of his good friends, and current ex, chiaki nanami. a gamer girl he met during highschool who had a soft exterior and light pink hair. They broke it off on good terms, becuase things just werent working out for the two of them. chiaki was a gamer girl who wanted to persue her dream in video game design and review, and hajime, well, he was just a normal guy, and he felt wrong for mooching off of chiaki.

he didnt want to hold her down, and decided that, even though he cared for her very much, he would have to let her go so that they could both be happy. makoto must have noticed his silence becuase a worried look began to shape on his face "im sorry, i hope i didnt bring up any unpleasant memories. you're more than welcome to ignore that question" he chuckled. it was clear he was embarassed, but it was a nice break from the stiff and alchohol drenched customers he would usually converse with "no no not at all. i went through a rough break up with a good female friend of mine. it wasnt anything major, i just wonder how shes doing nowadays" he replied resting his head on his hands. it wouldnt hurt to talk to makoto for awhile, souda could take care of things meanwhile "what about you?" he asked. makoto seemed to be expecting the question and sighed "nope. no break up or lonely heart syndrome here" he chuckled, although hajime belived he had something on his mind "just here to have fun then? you dont look the type to party" hajime could tell that makoto wasnt the party type. he was a soft spoken person, and always looked as if he was thinking about something, or had a cloud hovering above his thoughts. Before the male could respond, the door to the building opened and three figures immideately caught a number of eyes. Hajime tried to keep his eyes on his work, but it was difficult with the crowd that stood at the door. three tall and lean figures stood by the door. One with long, black, silky hair that fell across his forhead, hiding a bit of his blood red eyes that darkened in the middle to a black pupil. The second had navy blue hair and bright yellow eyes, and the third. the third was the one that cptivated hajime the most. the tall, lean, snow haired male standing by the door. was this love at first sight?
