"So, what's the plan?"

Bruce, who was sitting on the velvet red couch, curiously questioned the people around the New York Sanctum. The other Asgardians have gone to Norway safely, while Strange and the other members of the team went to the New York Sanctum in order to have a discussion about Thanos.

Thor, Loki, Strange, Bruce, and Brunnhilde all remained on the first floor of the New York Sanctum, which is the first area a person would be able to find upon passing through the entrance. Out of all these people, Bruce and Loki were the only ones sitting on the couch.

"Well." Thor took a deep breath before opening his mouth again. "First, we need to ask Loki more about him... considering he knows the most about the mad titan, if that's okay with him, of course."

"By all means, that is possible." The trickster replied, his arms crossed in front of his torso and his legs crossed. "He's the kind of person who would do anything to get what he wants. And he has a very strong will. He doesn't mind killing or torturing anyone for the sake of his desire. And as you have seen earlier, he is exceedingly strong."

"And he's even willing to kill or torture his own children just for that sake." Strange interrupted. "His planet was destroyed due to overpopulation. He told them to erase half of their planet, but they called him mad, causing the planet 'Titan' to be destroyed. Apparently, he doesn't want the same thing to happen to the other planets. Such is why he wants to erase half of the universe."

"Wait a second." Loki spoke, looking confused. "How'd you know all that?"

But Strange couldn't say that it was because Thanos told him in a previous time loop, knowing that would confuse everyone in the room. That's why he simply shrugged while still holding the wine glass. This course of action only gave Loki more confusion, though.

"I see." Thor added. "Then that means he has good intentions..."

"Not necessarily." Loki spoke again. "He doesn't do it for the sake of everyone else. He wants to make people realize that he was the one in the right all along. He wants to make people realize that erasing half of life is what can really fix overpopulation. He essentially wants to become a god."

Thor was able to understand Thanos' intentions in this time loop, because his people along with Loki and Heimdall survived. However, if this took place in a different timeline, then Thor wouldn't have cared about Thanos' backstory at all. In fact, he wouldn't even try to understand the mad titan. He'd kill him whether he knew about his past or not.

But unlike in other timelines, Thor's heart hadn't been consumed by vengeance and hatred in this world. And because of that, he has a more positive view in everything and everyone. He might even forgive Thanos in this timeline.

"This isn't going to be easy." said Thor, putting the cup of his left fist over his chin while supporting his elbow with his right palm. "This seems to be more intense than any of the battles we've faced before."

"Indeed, it is." Strange added. "There's only a 0.1% chance we'd win."

"You're kidding, right?" Thor sighed heavily. "Well then, this means we'd have to do our best!"

"But how are we going to do that, Thor?"

"The answer to that question is simple." Thor added. "Just like we always do. We're going to do it together!"

Strange sighed and frowned, his eyes focusing on the crimson carpet beneath his feet. Thor isn't even aware of the conflict happening between Tony and Steve, nor does he know about the civil war that took place two years ago. He'd most likely feel devastated once he found out about it.
