Finn's POV
"Wait, what happened?" Jake asked us again as he wrapped up (y/n)'s back with the bandages.

"When we went swimming, (y/n) went up a cliff to jump off but was pushed by someone! So I was thinking because she has the handprints...maybe it was a fire goblin!"

Jake nodded his head as he finished wrapping her up. (Y/n) had her head down as if she was thinking about something.

"Finn, as much fun as I think it would be to go and hunt down this 'fire goblin', I think you are missing the obvious possibility,"

"I am?"

"Think about it. Who do we know that has a temper and likes to burn things? Someone perhaps who might dislike you having another relationship,"

I brought my hand up to my chin and thought about who it could possibly be.

"You don't mean...Flame Princess?"

(Y/n)'s head shot up as she stared at me then to Jake.

"I know her," she spoke

"What?! How?" I blurted out. How did she know FP?

"We met in the woods when I went to go catch breakfast that one time, she nearly burnt my cloak off. But we eventually talked and she told me her name,"

"You were nearly burnt to death and didn't tell us?" Jake asked

"I had other issues to deal with at the time,"

Oh, right. The fight.

"Actually she did say something else," she paused before going on.
"She said something about wanting to get her ex back,"

She turned to me to see that I was stunned.

"She...still likes me?" I asked with astonishment and a small smile on my face that I didn't mean to have.

(Y/n) must have noticed because her eyebrows creased and her gaze darkened. She suddenly stood up and began walking off.

"Wait, where are you going? What about the burns? Do you need ice?" Jake asked, already stretching to the freezer.

"Thanks Jake," she spoke softly as she took the bag of ice and quickly went out of view.

Your POV

It was his ex. That makes more sense actually. She was in the right location when we met. That also explains why she would want to burn me/throw me off a cliff.

You went up to the roof and began pacing on the green surface below you.

"She....still likes me?"

It kept playing in your head.
He smiled.
He must still not be over her.
This sucks. Your first boyfriend and he is still hung up on a girl made of fire, and princess no less. How could you top that?

You began pacing so much that a clear path had been made from the greenery. You looked down and sighed. Sitting yourself on your usual spot. You looked over next to you and began remembering when he first confessed

"(Y/n), I-I think I like like you,"

You could still see him sitting there with a blushing face and his famous smile. It was just after your first kiss.

But now only one thought clouded your mind.

I guess he still likes her.

You gave a small, sad smile as you slowly reached your hand out to grab his, only for him to disappear. It was only a memory. A single tear drop fell from your eye and you quickly wiped it away.

He was your first boyfriend. From the stories you had heard when you were travelling and listening to people in villages talk, it wasn't meant to hurt this much.

Maybe you were overreacting. That must be it. You finally tore your eyes away from where the imaginary Finn was sitting and stood up, walking over to the edge of the tree.

That must be it. Maybe you were just jumping to conclusions and it was nothing more than a shock to him. You forced a smile on your face before beginning to head back down.

As you made it to the hatch on the roof, something bright caught your eye. You squinted before looking down.

It was her.

Flame Princess was here and standing at the front door below. You quickly opened the hatch and reached down inside, grabbing your bow and arrows from on a shelf before closing the hatch back up and kneeling on the roof to get a better look. Except it was too late.

You saw your worst nightmare happening just below you. Finn and Flame Princess were kissing.

Tears of rage filled your mind as you grabbed an arrow and the ice bag. You remember that she burnt up the arrows so you stabbed an ice cube onto the arrow and load your bow.

Tears clouded your vision so you quickly wiped them away and gained focus. Anger consumed you and took over your thoughts as you took a deep breath and shot the ice arrow, getting a direct shot to her shoulder. You watched as she pushed away from Finn and screamed in pain, both of them now looking up at you on the roof. You were high above them but could see the horror in Finn's eyes.

Flame Princess began to soar up towards you but you were ready.

You grunted as you continued to create and fire the ice arrows at the flame girl.

She didn't make it very far before she collapsed, arrows sticking out. She wasn't dead. That wasn't enough to kill her. Just enough to make her very weak. You watched as Finn ran to her fallen body. Grabbing another arrow, you shot down, scrapping his top before stabbing the ground in front of him. Making him come to a halt.
He swung around and stared up at you. Scared to move any further

You stood tall at the top of the tree house, the wind blowing your cloak and hair. You no-doubt looked threatening. Especially when you held the bow ready to shoot.

You wanted to shoot, you wanted to end this so badly. But you couldn't.

"(Y/n), I-I think I like like you,"

His words rang in your ears again as you watched his terrified face.

All the pain could end right now

But you just couldn't kill him.

You scrunched up your eyes and let the bow lower. Your knees gave way and you collapsed onto them.

You gave out a pained sob as you re-played what happened. You had really fallen for this boy and it hurt. It hurt so badly.

Jake ripped open the roof's when he heard the pained sob and noticed you sobbing with the bow in your hands. He began to run to you but stopped in his tracks as you looked at him with a dark glare. You stood up with a wobble and placed an arrow back in the bow, taking your stance.

You watched as his face fell and stared at the arrow being pointed at him.

"Under no circumstances do you follow me,"

You waited for him to nod before you lowered the bow and began running towards the edge of the roof, jumping off and onto the platforms until you reached the ground. As soon as you made contact with the dirt, you sprinted towards the heavy woods with hope to get as far away from them as possible.
