Jake's POV
We're on our way to a small clothing shop. The townspeople said that they had seen a mysterious figure talking to the owner sometime during the day Albert was killed.
"Yo Finn, how do you want to do this? Good cop, bad cop style? Or maybe...bad cop and another bad cop! That always gets them," I energetically spoke while jumping a little. I looked over to Finn after I didn't get a response and saw him looking over into the distance.
"Finn?""Hm?" He hummed, now back into reality.
"Did you hear anything I said?"
"Ye...No, sorry. I can't stop thinking about the arrow we found," he reached into him bag and pulled it out. "It feels so familiar,"
His grip on the bow tightened for a second before it loosened back up. He placed it back in his bag before pointing ahead of us. "There's the shop, shall we good cop bad cop this sucker?"
I let out a sigh before agreeing. "Yeah man, lets do it,"
Finn grabbed his bag and pulled out some sunglasses for both of us.
"We look sick,"Finn counted down as we stood in front of the door to the shop.
"One..two...THREE!" On three he kicked down the door and we rushed in. I took it upon myself to be bad cop, no offence Finn, but I'm way more threatening.
"Freeze! Put your hands in the air!" I screamed as I stretched into a bigger version of myself. Luckily no one other than the owner was inside the shop. He seemed pretty startled too.
He dropped the box he was holding and threw his hands in the air.
"It wasn't me!" He screamed, almost out of instinct, this already seemed fishy.
"Wait, you don't even know what we are here for," Finn pointed out while readjusting his shades.
The small man dropped his arms and gave off a shaky laugh. "Oh sorry.." he let out a cough before continuing "so what can I do for you nice gents,"
Time for bad cop.
"YOU KNOW WHAT WE WANT!" I barked out, obviously scaring the man.
He stepped back and used his hands to cover his face."I don't I swear!" He pleaded with us.
"Listen here, we can do it the easy way or the hard way," Finn took charge while cracking his fingers.
"What do you know about the assassination on a man named Albert?"
I made sure I got real close to his face and watched as he quickly looked away.
"I've-I've never heard of him before," he shot back, still averting eye contact.
"Oh really..this is a small town, not many people. This is the only clothing shop around. You're telling me that you have never seen this man come and buy something?" Finn came closer and threw a picture of Albert at him.
He picked it up and looked at it for a second before shaking his head and handing it back.
"I swear I know nothing,"
"Finn, this is getting nowhere. What do you say we turn it up a notch?" I asked him, turning slightly.
He nodded before turning back to the shop owner.
"Looks like you chose the hard way," before anyone could do anything else, Finn reached into his bag and pulled out his sword. Slowly, he crept towards the shaking man.
"Whoa-whoa fellas, there is no need for this,"
"I think there is, why don't you just tell us?" I spoke up while stretching my self around the man, tying him up.
Finn came closer and pointed his sword at the now tied up man. "We're gonna ask one more time. What. Do. You. Know?"
It was only a matter of seconds before he broke down.
"Okay! Stop! I'll tell you! Just don't hurt me okay?," he let out a deep breathe while Finn placed his sword away and out of sight. "I hired someone to do it, he was sleeping with my wife!"
"You hired an assassin to kill him? Who was it?" Finn pressed.
"I don't know names. They were a traveler. It was in exchange for a new archers outfit,"
"Boy or girl?" I asked.
"Girl, she was scary looking too. Lots of scars. One right across her eye,"
Why does this sound so familiar? I looked at Finn and he was clearly thinking the same thing.
"Did she talk much?"
"No,"
"Carries a bow and arrow everywhere?"
"From what I saw,"
"Has (e/c) eyes that hold mystery?"
"Umm...yes?"
Finn's POV
It had to be her. (Y/n) was here.
But she killed someone.
She was a tough girl but she would never kill someone..right?
I turned to Jake and he was handcuffing the shop owner.
She wouldn't. She couldn't. She was so nice.
Then again, she did shoot Flame Princess.
Many times.
Oh boy.
(Y/n)...this can't be you. You are so much better than this. I can tell. We just have to find you before anything else happens.
I'm sure there is a good reason to all this. There has to be.
Right?
