A thousand years later, I ended up in America, New Orleans. I travelled and been through a lot. I was walking on the waterfront. I saw two drunk people, a man with long black hair and a woman. Reading their thoughts, Louis, the man, lonely, lost all his loved ones and has no will to live himself. The woman was just a pure whore. I then saw another man walking behind them, reading his thoughts, he is going to rob them. I wanted to do something! As I was about to follow them, I saw another vampire with long blonde hair doing the same with me. He was my kind, I might as well meet and join. We kept our distance as we walked to them. The whore was feeling him up as the robber walked to them.

"Give me your money or die!"

I grabbed the woman and twisted her head, the other vampire drank all the robber's blood as I took a look at the unconscious handsome man. I was about feed on him when the other vampire stopped me by grabbing him. We both took off in the air. 

"I saw him first," he said.

"We'll share his blood then, sharing is caring."

He laughed and turned to the man who was awake.

"You still want this or have you tasted it enough?"

"Enough," Louis said.

The vampire just dropped him and he landed in the water. We dropped down ourselves.

"What's your name, Cherie?"

"Oh, a Frenchman."

I chuckled and continued.

"Lynessa, and you are?"

"Lestat, a female vampire I see, a British one too. I've always been fond of the British."

"Hmm. I sense you've never been a vampire for long. Not a newborn but you've been here long enough."

"You lived long, Cherie?"

"I've been alive for so long, I knew William Shakespeare before he was a writer. Last time I was a human I was a peasant girl in a kingdom with knights with not so in shining armor. I was in a dungeon about to be executed."

He chuckled.

"Impossible to live for over a thousand years, I now have upmost respect for you, Lynessa."

He kissed my hand.
