Hello everyone!! I hope you're all doing well ♥
I finished writing this story back in October 2017 but I see you still keep on reading my work and I simply wanted to thank all of you for that.
I just realised FINGERTIPS recently reached 15k reads and I'm deeply moved. When I started the writing of this story, I never expected anything, I had been writing since I was very young and it was just another story for me. I had posted a couple of stories in French back in the days (Vampire Diaries' Klaus/Caroline fanfiction, damn.) so when I started posting it online, I never expected to get any reads. I remember the excitment when it reached 100 reads. It was crazy to me... but now it reached 15k.
This story is really not the best, I cringe so much when I sometimes read a bit of it. The writing is terrible and I don't really know how it got that much reads with such poor quality! I even considered deleting it a few times as I believed it was really not good enough to be published but my cowardice stopped me from doing so.
SO THANK YOU SO MUCH TO ALL OF YOU WHO HAVE READ OR ARE READING THIS STORY. WHO ARE COMMENTING AND VOTING. I'LL NEVER SAY IT ENOUGH BUT IT DOES MEAN A LOT ♥
Fun Facts about FINGERTIPS:
There are a few things that were originally planned from the start but on which I had progressively changed my mind, I thought it would be funny to share them now.
I. Tamara wasn't originally supposed to be that cruel and mean. For some reason, I started unconsciously building a rude personality for her character through chapters and I stuck to it as it seemed the right thing to do back then, I even went back on the writing of the first chapters to add some hint of that personality as I had made her really calm and nice at first.
II. Tamara was originally Eleanor. Until I realised I was turning her character into a "not so good" of a person and decided that I didn't want to write another story in which Eleanor would be a bad person, for that reason I decided to change her name and appearance.
III. Liam and Zayn were originally secretly dating but I quickly dropped the idea as I wanted to focus the whole relationship idea of Harry and Louis.
IV. (trigger warning) Originally, Louis was supposed to comit suicide at the end of the story. I dropped the idea as I was and am myself battling with mental disorders and decided I didn't want a story in which I would let mental disorders win.
V. (spoilers if you didn't finish the reading) Although I dropped the previous idea, Louis was still supposed to die at the end of the story. I never liked writing happy ending and until the writing of the 40th chapter, I had planned for Louis to die in the car accident. The epilogue was actually fully planned and I had even written some part already, it was supposed to be from Harry POV, to take place a year later during Christmas Eve during which all his friends and family were gathered and I had already written Harry's speech. I dropped the idea when I saw some people expecting a happy ending and didn't want to disappoint so I delivered a happier ending.
That's all! It is very weird to come back to write a new part on this book but here it is. I hope you all enjoyed those little fun facts (if you even read them ahah)
I am currently jungling between university (finals are here yay.), drawing and the writing of a whole new story that I am actually very excited about! I hope to go further with the writing and to post it at some point on here, it is very different from FINGERTIPS as it is not a fanfiction but it will still portray a main character with mental disorders (still waiting for good not romanticised representation of mental disorders in literature so I'm trying to write it until I find it)
Thank you again for 15K ♥♥ You're the best!!
Take care of yourself and don't let people bring you down ♥
