- Emalynne's POV -
- SCHOOL, Monday, 3:00 PM -
When we heard the school bell, the teacher says that it's dismissal time.
Everyone was standing up, and they started packing up their things.
I do that as well, going outside to my locker and getting my things.
All of a sudden, I felt a tap on my shoulder.
I turn to see Nancy, smiling at me.
"Hey, Emalynne." She greets.
"Hi." I reply back, placing my stuff back into my bag.
"Sorry about before at lunch. She's just like that." Nancy pleads, clasping her hands together.
"I already told you, it's alright. Don't worry about it." I reassure her, grabbing her shoulders gently.
"Thanks for being my friend, Nancy." I mutter, letting go and hugged her.
She hugs back tightly.
We pull away and we said our goodbyes.
We parted and I started walking home.
I exit the gates and walked across the sidewalk.
This town is peaceful.
I walked across a residence.
Walking past one of the houses, I overheard a conversation.
I stopped and listened carefully.
"Have you heard that there's rumors that supernatural beings roam around the garden at night?" A woman asks.
"Yeah, I think they appear when no humans are to be found." The man says back.
When I heard those, I feel surprised.
But it's just a rumor.
After all, she already said it.
'Look how stupid you are! Thinking some stupid creature will exist.'
That memory floods in my head as I continued walking.
