- Emalynne's POV -
- THE SACRED GARDEN, Wednesday, 9:12 PM -
I will see his past?
Honestly, I was a bit curious.
"Promise me you will keep this to your own, alright?" He states, as the crystal glows bluntly.
"I will, Kurano." I say, nodding my head gently.
"Place your hand on the crystal." He says, inching his hand along with the crystal towards me.
I nodded and placed it.
I can feel myself fading away.
What's happening?
Then, we fade in to the house we've been in.
But, it seems cleaner, and brighter for some reason.
"Come with me." He holds my wrist, leading the way, with the jacket blocking our touch.
He brought me to a room, where we see young boy, standing by the bed side, with a woman lying.
I take a glance at Kurano for a second.
His silence makes me concerned for him.
"Where are we, Kurano?" I ask him, glancing at his face.
He stays silent for a while before answering me.
"The place we went yesterday, was the house I used to live in." He sighs.
"Emalynne, this is my memory." He states, exhaling his breath afterwards.
From there, I can hear a soft melody.
It was the same melody the music box played.
The young boy had the music box in his hands, crying softly.
"The boy here, was myself, before I became this way." He looks at the woman in the bed.
"And the person on the bed, was my mother, whom I loved ever since." His voice cracked down his throat.
I can feel his pain.
The music kept on playing, until silence came.
"You see, my mother passed when I was young, which left me sorrowful." By now, he had a lump on his throat.
"That music box I gave you, was my mother's gift to me." He continued, his voice getting cracked up.
I feel bad for him.
I never knew he had such a tragic past.
"Hold onto the crystal again, Ema." He hands out the crystal.
I close my eyes, and held it under my breath.
Now, I can feel myself fading again.
For a second, we're in the garden, just like before.
But in the distance, I see his young self again.
He's lying down on the grass.
By now, Kurano sheds a tear.
"After she passed, I went to the garden, and left myself to die." His voice choked up made me feel desolate.
I approach the young boy.
He wasn't breathing anymore.
I can feel warm tears falling down.
He moves the time to night.
Kurano's younger self still lies.
But I can see a man, glowing, approaching his body.
What is he doing to him?
"Close your eyes!" Kurano exclaimed.
I covered my eyes with my sleeve.
Under my coat, I can see a bright flash occur.
When the flash fades away, I take off my sleeve and saw what happened.
Kurano's younger self rises from the grass, now glowing and with wings.
"I was reincarnated by one of the beings, and this is who I am now." He wipes off his teary eyes with his sleeve.
"I was told that any human can kill you by touch." He states, turning to me.
He hands out the crystal again, indicating me to hold it.
I held it, and we fade away again.
We fade into another memory.
But this was recent.
"The man who raised me recently disappeared from my sight." He starts choking up again.
I can see the same man who he states, getting touched by a human.
He checks his phone, and smiles as he runs away.
The supernatural being disappeared in front of our eyes.
He faded into glowing particles, floating around us.
I look at it with despair.
"I was taught to fear humans, even if I used to be one." He stated, sighing.
"He was the king of the beings after all, making me the prince." He mutters under his breath.
"But I was alone, making me so as 'the lonely prince'." Teardrops fall from his eyes, and he wipes it off gently.
