- Emalynne's POV -
- THE SACRED GARDEN, Wednesday, 9:50 PM -
"So this is how the rumors are spread..." I said under my breath.
He looks at me with a surprised expression on his face.
Tears from his eyes still fall down.
I look back at him and smiled faintly.
"When I moved here, I heard rumors that this place would be inherited by beings like you..." I start.
"I was curious, so I went here..." I continued, looking down, blushing fiercely.
"And then I met you." I stopped, smiling wider towards him.
His melancholic spirit shifted into happiness.
"You told me before to forget all of my problems, well now..." I took the time to breathe in.
"It's your turn." I managed to get it out.
"Forget all of these, Kurano. It's all in the past." I state firmly.
We stood silent for a while.
Afterwards, we were shifted back to the present time.
I check the time on my cellphone.
Huh, it's already 10:00 PM.
After all that, I felt tired.
I sat down on the bench.
He draws near and sits beside me.
Silence comes around us, leaving me feeling awkward.
I can't just talk to him like nothing happened after all.
But I couldn't stand his past.
He became like this after he died as a child.
The fact that he had a sad life made me tear up.
Kurano looks at me, concern drawn on his face.
"What's wrong, Ema?" He asks, widening his eyes.
"I can't help but feel downhearted from your past, Kurano." I felt lumps on my throat.
Why can't I forget it?
The past that he's been through all these years.
"It's alright. I'm okay now. There's no need to be like this anymore, Emalynne." He whispers, chuckling slightly.
He hugs me gently, trying not to make contact with our touch.
He pulls away slowly, and smiles.
The warm feeling...
His glowing touch...
Made me feel a lot better.
I smile back to him.
He touches me by my shoulders, gripping it tightly.
"Ema, with what happened, I trust you more than I think." He tightens his grip.
"You're the only person, in this very world, that I could talk to." His face starts turning red.
I couldn't help myself but blush, and smile.
He lets go of my shoulders, and sat in silence.
I did the same.
- 10:10 PM -
It was time for me to go home.
"I'll see you tomorrow night, Kurano." I say, waving him goodbye as our distance becomes wider.
He smiles and waves back.
As I walk away from the garden, something enters into my mind.
Every time we talk, every time we go through things, every hug he gave me...
I can feel myself wanting more each day.
From the moment we met, 'till the day he showed me his past...
My heart feels warmer, and it flutters when I'm with him.
This...
This is the happiest I've ever been.
He taught me the joy I could ever give to someone else.
Within him, he's the person I could trust.
