- Emalynne's POV -
- THE SACRED GARDEN, Monday, 9:30 PM -
I sat beside him, but he scoots away.
"Hey..." I call to him, catching his attention.
He looks at me with his crystal blue eyes.
"W-what is it?" He asks, scratching his neck nervously.
"What's your name?" I ask him, giving him a small smile.
"Why do you care?" He defends himself, using his arms to block himself.
"Because I'm interested in you." I answer, trying to calm him down.
I reach out my hand to touch his shoulder.
"No! Don't touch me!" He shouts, continuously moving on his seat.
I place my hand down gently.
"Why are you afraid of humans?" I ask him again, making sure he's calmed down.
He breathes in and out, feeling nervous.
I'm confused of his actions.
"It is said that humans will use technology to reveal us." He explains, looking at the stars.
"That's why when you used the camera, I was scared you would reveal things about me." He continued, sighing afterwards.
I softened my face towards him.
No wonder they would wander whether humans are absent.
I felt sad for them.
"I'm sorry to hear about that." I say, looking down, sighing.
He looks at me with concern.
"I would never do that to you. I would love to know more about you." I smile, turning to him after.
He smiles, now feeling safe.
"I promise I won't tell anyone." I smirk, placing my hand on my chest.
"M-my name is Kurano. I'm a lonesome prince who lives here." He introduces, fluttering his angelic wings.
We fell silent for a while, looking at the beautiful night sky.
The atmosphere is beautiful.
The flowers glowing, the fresh breeze...
It's a wonderful experience.
He's a prince, a lonely prince.
But inside my head, why was he afraid of touch?
"Kurano..." I call out to him, catching his attention.
"Yes, Emalynne?" He returns, now saying my name.
The way he said my name made me blush.
Wait, what?
"Why are you afraid of humans' touch?" I ask him, sticking my eyes to his own.
He looks down for a second.
We fell silent before he hesitantly answers.
"Supernatural beings like me tend to disappear forever when touched by humans." He states, looking back up at me.
They will die if they were touched?
Why is it like this?
"Why does that happen, Kurano?" I ask him again, looking down in sorrow.
He sighs slowly.
"Creatures like us are made of magic. Human skin causes magic to perish if touched." He explains, looking back down again.
I smile, thinking that I got to talk to him.
The way he looks is amazing.
His angelic wings...
The glow on his skin...
And the crystal blue eyes that I adore...
It's wonderful to see him.
"You know, I'm glad I got to see you." I say, looking at him, faintly smiling.
He turns to me, and smirks.
The look on his eyes sparkle.
How beautiful.
"Will you promise me you'll keep this a secret?" He asks, looking straight into my own eyes.
I nodded, completely understanding his words.
I stand up and wave him goodbye.
He waves back and fades away into glowing silver dust flowing around.
I walk home silently, with him in my mind.
