The Blue Bird

Chenshang (crown prince) watched as Ying Yue gets Escorted to her courtyard by leeshan (second prince) and he gets frustrated..

'I should be the one to be with her. What is he doing with her. Huh?' He thought as he pouted.

But then he saw Ying Yue getting alarmed about something.. He wanted to rush forward.. but then he found that.. it was him she was getting scared of..

He just wanted to facepalm himself.

Then he remembers the reason he came here for. He wanted to see if she was doing fine and accepted to the environment here..

She used to be in such a quiet and peaceful place and suddenly getting dragged into a huge palace without knowing anything was sure something hard to accept.

And also. He wanted to gift her a blue bird that he saved in one of his trip in the wild. This bird was hurt and was on the verge of dying.. but was saved by him.

From then onwards the bird used to chirp happily everyday.. and it kind of reminds him of Ying Yue.

But still.. not even a human can compare to Ying Yue's melody. Let alone a little bird...

So he just whispers into the little bird's ear to go to Ying Yue and tied a note he had written earlier to it's leg.

The bird flew over to Ying Yue as it was instructed earlier and.. sits on her... Mmm.. head. And it started chirping happily again.

She turns a bit silly. And stared stupidly into nothing.

'What is happening right now?' was the only question reverberating inside her head.

Then the bird seemed to sense something as it switched places and sat at her arm quite majestically..

And then it looked at her eyes with it's dark round black eyes.. and she stared at it back with her big beautiful black eyes..

And they even blinked at the exact same moment...

Chenshang who was hiding in the shadows really wanted to laugh out at this cute pair of human and bird..

but he could only suppress his laughter or else... He didn't want to get caught...

And so.. he waited until the bird and human duo recovered from their shock..

Then Ying Yue noticed something tied to the bird's leg with a red string..

She untied it and read the contents of the note..

It said...

This blue bird is one my little gift for you.. and you have a surprise waiting for you tomorrow, love.

She blushed after she completed reading it.. she didn't think. Never once in her dreams that someone would gift her something..

And this was also the first gift she got from her soon-to-be husband.. she will definitely make sure to treasure it.

She was so happy that her eyes turned red..

'But what was the surprise he mentioned?' she wondered.

Then as if lightning stuck her. She looked at all around to check if anyone was there.

But she couldn't find anyone.. 'was the prince here just now?'.. again she wondered and searched again through her eyes..

When she didn't seem to see anyone she just gave a deep bow and said..

"Thank you." Softly.. then went inside her courtyard.

Even if she was in a really happy mood right now.. she felt really sleepy..

It sure was a really long day..

After the chenshang was sure that she went to sleep. He couldn't control it anymore as he laughed. Till tears were literally dropping from his eyes.

'Oh my. I've never seen someone as cute as her.. But.. what's wrong with my heart? Why is it racing so fast?' he too wondered as he went back to his chambers..
