If eyes were the windows to the soul you would look deep into the pool of my eyes and drown in the crashing waves of my thoughts. Your arms would flail wildly as you try to steady yourself with the anchor of your own reasoning, but still, the raging waters of my innermost being would pull you in deeper.
If eyes were the windows to the soul you'd crash through the thick barricaded glass that shields away my being, setting me free from the bindings of my own workings. Liberating my hopes and dreams so they could finally roam free.
I would be able to finally comprehend who you truly are if only I looked closely into your eyes. Because eyes are windows to the soul and I am certain you don't have any curtains.
