The computer room awaited me. Tape in my hand, I walked in. A room full of computers monitors off.

16 chairs.
16 students.
16 tapes.
16 motives.
16 wills to live.

I walked to a chair and sat down. I put on the provided headphones, put in the tape, and relaxed.

"Hey, little sis!" The screen turned on to reveal my mother, father and my older sister Beca. "How's it going? Having fun at the big girl school?" She laughed. I smiled seeing my family safe.
"Bellatrix, have a great time at the school. Make lots of friends!" My mother smiled at me. She must be proud.
"My little champ, have a great time! You have an awesome time!" Dad looked happier than ever. Everything I wanted.
"And you know-!" Beca suddenly cut off. The video paused. Monokuma came up onto the screen.
"Unfortunately, these 3 aren't all here right now. Some of them can't handle being mauled by Monokumas... Find out who by escaping!"

Find out...
By escaping...
No...

I jumped back, the headphones leaping off my head. Everyone's screen lit up the words:

TO FIND OUT, ESCAPE THE SCHOOL!

No...

"NOOOO!"
I screamed out, most others doing the same.

"Mum!"
"My siblings!"
"Aqua-san!"
"The baking club!"
"Arianne!"

The cries for everyone were filling the room. A word rang through my head. A word to describe the suffering, the torment, the pain.

DESPAIR

"Puhuhuhu!" His voice was quiet, in the corner of the room was him. We all looked in spite. He was the one that made these.

"What have you done?" I looked down at him, his face unchanging.
"You know the motives... Well."

"YOU HAVE TO KILL ANOTHER TO SAVE THE ONE YOU LOVE!"

"Huh..?" All I could say. We have to kill? To escape? Why?

"What if we don't want to?" Roxy spoke up, the silence and atmosphere falling.
"Well. You don't have to. Anyone else can." Monokuma answered, sounding a bit enthusiastic seeing us in such a state.

"No..." Who was that?
"I DON'T WANT ANYONE TO DIE!" Kashikoi screamed out. "You... are a monster, Sensei Monokuma..." She stormed out of the room, Orokana followed.

"You better not kill... Any of you." Orokana glared at all of us and left; pursuing Kashikoi.

When we looked back, Monokuma was gone. Vanished.

"So, no one's going to kill because of a dumb motive, right?" Hailey asked the rest of us. We all looked around, reality set in.

We could be looking at our killer or our victims, people who would die, people who would live. People dying for a cause, some for the fun of it. Death. Death...
The hardest thing to overcome.

Death.

We left. No one said a word.

Beca.
Mum.
Dad.

I went back to my dorm. I didn't want to leave. I wanted to survive.

Even if that meant...

Killing another student.
