Sitting in Transfiguration class for the first class back after summer isn't Riley's first choice, but none the less she has to do it. Luckily this year Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw are sharing that class. Glancing over to Bill, who is truly in his element, is the only thing Riley can do to keep herself awake. Riley turns to Olivia, who much like Riley can't bare the class.

"Simply. Kill me" Olivia whisper snaps.

"Herbology is next. Just power through." Riley encourages the girl.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the bell vibrates.

"Ugh!" Bill exclaims.

"Don't be 'ugh'ing you, it's Herbology now!" Riley cheers as she is leaving the classroom.

"I'm not like my dad, it doesn't make any sense, this should come easy to me, my dad is the Herbology professor and my mum was a Hufflepuff! I get you're excited cause you're a whiz at it but I'm not so fortunate. " Bill sighs as he follows her.

"It's a good subject, mainly an easy A for Hufflepuff's. If it's bothering you that much, ask your dad for help. That's what he's there for." Riley insists.

"I don't know. He's not the best at explaining stuff ... to me anyway." Bill admits.

"I'll help you, I mean if you want me to." Riley offers.

"This year is going to suck. For the first time in what .... 4 years we are doing Herbology with Slytherin! What if Scorpius tries to kill me ?!" Bill exclaims.

"Scorpius isn't the worst thing in that greenhouse you know, a Venus flytrap could ..." Riley starts.

"No stop! I don't want to hear about plants! I can see why you're my dad's favourite." Bill chuckles.

"Ha, you're so funny. All I'm saying is give Slytherin a chance, and if you stay out of Malfoy and Potter's way you'll be fine." Riley insists.

"I don't understand how Potter and Malfoy can just skip two years of Herbology ?!" Bill cries.

They reach the greenhouses where the students from each house are waiting to be told if they are in greenhouse one or two.

"Welcome back! As you may know already, Slytherin is with Ravenclaw and Hufflepuffs with Gryffindor. Slytherin and Ravenclaw greenhouse two, where professor Sprout is waiting so chop chop, and Gryffindor and Hufflepuff with myself in here."

All the Ravenclaws and Slytherins started filing out of the room, Bill gave Riley a sad smile, which she just laughs at.

"What's wrong with him now?" Mr Longbottom asks chuckling.

"He thinks Malfoy will kill him or worse he'll survive and have to listen about plants." She laughs.

Since first-year Riley and William got on like a house on fire and their dad's bonding again about the old days helped their cases.

"He gets that from his mother." He smiles.

He shook his head and went back to facing the class.

"I've thought all of you before so I've made a plan for partners that you must do all projects with."

Everyone looks around. Riley, knowing Mr Longbottom, isn't a tad bit surprised. She hopes she gets Olivia, Sophie or Jade but she knows her chances are slim.

Mr Longbottom starts to call out names. One by One, all being Hufflepuff and Gryffindor pairings.

"Olivia and James"

"Sophie and Michael"

"Jade and Sebastian"

"Great! All the girls are gone." Riley thought. "Just once I don't get-"
