"Turn to page ninety-five." Zabini booms.
"I hate this!" Jade exclaims.
"Calm down." Riley laughs.
The class seems to drag on, as always, but today is different for Riley and she senses it. Zabini has been giving her and Fred bad looks for the whole lesson. She looks at Fred, who also seems to be catching onto the aura Professor Zabini is radiating, and he seems to be not as bothered.
"Ms Finnigan, if you wish to make eyes at Mr Weasley I must advise you to leave my class to do so!" Zabini snaps.
"Oh no Professor, that's not what's happening here." Riley states.
"Are you claiming I'm lying, Ms Finnigan?" Zabini hisses.
"I don't think she was saying that sir. I think you've just misread the situation." Fred butts in.
"Oh, of course, Mr Weasley, this is your place to speak. Just like your father, always butting in." Zabini spits.
"I'll ask you, sir, not to talk about my father and I'm just sticking up for Riley." Fred holds himself against the bitter teacher.
"Well I think Ms Finnigan is perfectly able to speak on her own, isn't that correct Riley?" Zabini turns his attention back to Riley.
"Ummm, yes? I mean no, I mean yeah. Uhhh, I don't know." She stutters.
Then like Merlin could hear the terrible conversation happening below him, a knock on the door saves truly everyone.
The door slightly opens and the 6th year Hufflepuff that was talking to Riley about the goblet of Fire pops his head into the classroom.
"Sorry to disturb you Professor Zabini, but is Riley Finnigan and Fred Weasley here?" He asks politely.
"Yes, but is it urgent?" The Professor questions, wanting to get back at yelling at them.
"Um, it's for Headmistress McGonagall, she asked me to come to get them right away." The older boy answers.
"Very well." The clearly disappointed Professor drools.
The two quickly get up and head to the prefect.
"Hey, Riley!" He greets her.
"Hey, Tom right?" She smiles.
"That's the one." He returns the smile.
"I'm Fred." Fred puts out his hand to shake, clearly wanting to stop whatever was happening between the prefect and 4th year.
"Nice to meet you! Gryffindor right?" The tall boy queries.
"Yep, the L I O N." Fred clarifies.
"Anyways, do you know what McGonagall wants? Are we in trouble? Am I in trouble?" Riley rushes.
"To be honest, I have no idea. I don't think you're in trouble though, so don't worry." He gives her another smile.
The trio goes to McGonagall's office and once they reach it, Tom turns and says, "this is where we must part ways, see you around Riley," and just as he was walking off, "Oh and nice meeting you Phinneas." He nods at Fred.
"What an ars-"
"FRED!" Riley stops him.
"What? He is. Phinneas sounds nothing like Fred. That's like me calling him Bob." Fred rants.
"Just get over it. Some people aren't great with names." She defends Tom.
"Oh but he's positive of your name." He glares.
