A/N: Requested by ThatCinnamonBaguette. Just a fun, fluffy chapter with the Ham Fam. Credit to simplyrecipes.com for their pie recipe, which I used as a guideline. (Always cite your references kids XD) Hope you like it Maxine!

  "Okay, are we live?"

Eliza pressed a few buttons on her laptop, and the first few messages from viewers popped up in the chat log. She smiled with excitement.

"Oh! We are! Hi, everyone, Eliza here. Welcome back to my channel! You guys voted, and today we'll be making a lemon meringue pie."

As Eliza got out her bowl and her ingredients, she watched the chat log flood with comments and couldn't help but feel a rush of excitement. She had been a Youtuber for over two years now, but the thrill of live-streaming to people from all over the world hadn't been lost on her.

"So the first thing you'll need to do is pre-bake your pie shell, which I've already done. If you don't know how to do this, please check out my 'How to Pre-Bake a Pie Crust' video. Now, let's get started on making the filling."

So Eliza went through the steps, going slow to let her audience bake along with her. When she looked up from stirring the ingredients in her bowl, she saw in the video feed two figures behind her, dancing.

"Um, excuse me?" Eliza laughed, turning to face the culprits. Her husband Alex and their son Philip just looked at her with silly grins on their faces and continued to dance.

"Welcome to the halftime show!" Alex said to the camera. Philip stood on Eliza's other side, nimbly doing the Floss.

Eliza laughed. "I didn't ask for a halftime show!" Alex and Philip's antics were not uncommon while she was live-streaming. The viewers didn't mind, though; they loved it when Eliza's husband and son made appearances. Alongside her cooking videos, Eliza would often make vlogs of their family, so Alex and Philip were almost as well-known to her fans as Eliza was.

"Now, if you don't mind, I'm trying to bake a pie here," Eliza said and tossed a pinch of flower at her husband. Alex's dancing came to a halt, and he looked deeply offended at her attack. Philip erupted in cackling laughter as Alex shoved his hand into the flour bag and retaliated at Eliza. Soon, the kitchen became a battleground enshrouded in a thick white cloud.

"Okay, okay, okay!" Eliza said through laughter. "You guys win! Now stop attacking me or you won't get any pie."

The white dust cleared to reveal Alex and Philip, their faces streaked with flour like warpaint. They looked at each other with consternation.

"Alright... you're the true winner," Alex conceded. "We'll leave you alone. Say goodbye, Philip."

"Bye!" chirped Philip, waving to the camera.

Eliza smiled warmly as she watched him follow his dad off screen. She knew they only did this because they missed her when she was filming. She couldn't wait to spend time with them after the video. Once the pie was in the oven, she spent its twenty minutes of baking time chatting with and answering Q&A's from her viewers. Finally, the oven timer went off, which meant both her pie and the video were done.

"Okay, that's all for today!" Eliza said with a smile once the pie was on the cooling pack. "Thanks so much for watching. Please subscribe and check out my other videos. Okay, I'll see you guys next time! Bye!"

After she turned off the webcam, she headed into the family room where Alex and Philip were watching TV. Philip was leaning against Alex, but he leapt out of his seat when he saw Eliza.

"Hi, Mom!" he cheered as he threw his arms around her. "Is the pie done yet?"

Eliza giggled as she ruffled his hair. "It still needs to cool. But you and your dad can pass the time by helping me clean up the kitchen."

"You make it seem we had something to do with it," Alex said, rising from the couch. He kissed her cheek and said, "Let's go, Philip. If there's still any chance your mother won't give us any pie, we'd better keep in her good graces."

The six hands made the work light, and the time went by even more quickly as Alex's quips and teasing kept them entertained. Soon, the chaotic kitchen was spotless once again.

"Is the pie done now?" Philip asked, impatiently rocking from one foot to another.

"We still need to wait a little while," Eliza said, eyeing the oven clock. When Philip dropped his head and whined, she cupped his face in her hands and said, "Aw, I'm sorry. But if you eat a custard pie warm, the filling will be all runny. You know that."

Philip sighed before lifting his head suddenly, a little smile forming on his face. "Can we play Life?"

Philip bounced up and down in excitement as Alex grabbed their favorite board game. Soon they were all seated at the now-sparkling island and playing the Game of Life. As Alex was counting everyone's money to decide the winner, Eliza quietly rose from her seat and went to check on the pie.

"You won, Mom!" Philip called to her eagerly, and Alex countered, "It's a mistake! I must have miscounted!"

Eliza giggled and returned to the island, this time with three slices of pie. Alex and Philip's eyes both widened in the same childlike expression of awe. Eliza suppressed a humored smile as handed them their long-awaited treat.

"Amazing pie, Betsey," Alex said through a mouthful of lemon meringue pie. Philip couldn't even speak, but just nodded his agreement.

As touched as she was that thousands of people marveled at her baking skill, there was no feeling like baking for her family. She had fans all over the world, but here in this room were the two people that meant the most to her. She had been told many times by her viewers that she should open her own bakery. The thought of this flattered her, and she had daydreamed about it from time to time. For now, though she was happy to just make treats for her two biggest fans.

A/N: I have a couple of ideas for a sequel to this...
