Hans looked back at her, his brows furrowed at her stern tone.He knew why he was there, yet he hesitated to say it out loud.

Would it be wise if he dared say that he was blaming her somehow for Anna's disappearance? After what he had witnessed with his
own eyes in that ballroom, he couldn't even imagine another explanation but this.

Elsa did not expect anyone to come after her. The young woman had seen the fear reflected in the eyes of the citizens.

She did not have the privilege to think straight, nor did she was calm enough to do that, so the best solution she could come up with was to leave and never look back again.

As she saw that what she was trying so hard to hide for many years now getting revealed in less than mere minutes, there was no solution other than to run away.

If her parents were present that night, then things might have turned out differently. They would prevent their youngest daughter from provoking her sister's
anger by asking her to accept something completely absurd. But "if" does not change what had already happened, nor did it take it back.

Elsa could no longer pretend. Living in fear and uncertainty, Elsa had learned to stifle her own emotions.

It was time to take her own life into her own hands. She would no longer stand behind anyone's shadow.

"Make it quick then." He did not expect to be welcomed by the Queen, but was determined not to go back to the palace empty-handed. The path he had
chosen to cross was an uneven one, yet he had no regrets for making that decision. After all, life had never been easy on him.

"I'm afraid it's not only that!" He said back, considering his next words.

The Queen looked at Hans enigmatically. She did not seem touched by his statement, which surprised him in return.

"Of course, it's not!" She gave a lopsided grin, and Hans' eyes fixed on hers.

"You're not here out of concern for my well-being!" She was already making her way down the stairs now, her eyes never leaving his face.

"You know the reason for me being here." He stated, not doubting even for a moment the queen's intelligence.

"Yes, but I can't help you with that. That trip of yours was in vain!"

Elsa said and walked past him, a cold breeze accompanying her every move.

The Prince had never expected to hear such a response from the Queen. He was so shocked, to such an extent that his adventure with Elsa's creation earlier,it seemed
simple and insignificant to him now.

"With all due respect, your Grace, but you're the only one who can help!"

If there was one thing she hated with all her being, it was to remind her of her royal duties. As if everything she had lived until today was not enough for her, a prince was reprimanding her.

"Where is Anna?" His tone was strict, yet not authoritative at all. He was aware of the consequences if he dared to raise his voice and defy the Queen of Arendelle. He didn't wish to provoke her anger any further.

"I know nothing more than you, Prince Hans." Hans had never allowed himself to believe in love between family members, let alone love in general. When Princess Anna told him that she and her older sister had been close once, he refused to believe it.

But the spark in her eyes as she spoke about that fond memories, made him change his mind.

"Her horse returned unaccompanied." He added, hoping he could finally have her attention, but that never happened.
