Anna froze in her spot. No, it couldn't be possible. Kristoff had turned to solid ice by her own sister. The guy who had agreed to help her find Elsa and bring back summer. She had destroyed his sled and yet he wasn't angry at her, or he didn't seem to bother.  She walked over to him, reaching out her hands slowly to touch his face.

" Kristoff" She murmured soflty and eyes began to well up in her eyes. He had been a great friend for her and figured out that he was someone worthy of her trust, someone that she could rely on. If only he wasn't that stubborn though. She had asked him to wait for her outside the Palace, as she wished to solve all the problems with her sister personally. But then again she did not expect to find Hans there too. Elsa was in a great shock too. Despite everything, she wasn't that evil. That man had done nothing to her and in fact, she should have been grateful to Kristoff for keeping her sister safe. The Queen longed to be a normal person, but every time she attempted to do just that, she found a world in ruins around her. It was like an evil force was holding her back from being the Queen she was born to be.  What was wrong with her?

" You know what? Actually, I 'm ok with that. I didn't like his face at all" Hans said out loud, before he could stop himself. There was something he could not bring himself to explain yet, but he despised that man. Was it because of Anna? Was it jealousy that he couldn't acknowledge not even to himself?  Anna could not take it anymore; her plan to come and find her sister and talk some sense into her was a total failure and now she could see what Kristoff was trying - in vain though -  to make her see. This man had nothing to do with that sweet Prince she thought she knew. The sad truth was that she didn't know him at all. She turned around to face both her sister and Hans.

" Why? Why Kristoff? I don't understand. What did he ever do to you, huh? Why is it so hard for you to accept the fact that we were only trying to help you?  " She asked, addressing to her sister and Elsa raised slowly her eyes to gaze at her sister's. There was indignation in Anna's eyes and Elsa wished she could disappear right then. It was like she could not recognize Elsa at all. The younger sister was right. She had been like that for a while now. Ever since their parents had left her and Anna alone. No one was there for her to hold her hand and guide her through the unknown. It was tough at first.  There were also times when she would have literally opened the door to her sister and embraced her tight, if she could ever find the courage to do it. She was afraid. She had always been. She had never lived not even a moment of her life without having to worry about the possibility of someone getting hurt.  But, life was a cruel game.

Hans shifted his gaze from the Princess to the Queen. He often wondered why Elsa felt like she must destroy everything around her. He couldn't think of any good reasons. She was the Queen for heaven's sake. What else could she possibly ask for? Elsa raised her hand up to her heart and looked at Hans. She could feel those green eyes of his looking straigh into her soul. She remembered the first time he had walked into this very Ice Palace. She remembered him trying to understand her, showing her that he cared. And she had believed him. But, Hans had made all this way to save Anna, his fiancée and not her. He turned his attention back to Anna.

" Anna, are you ok? " She heard him ask as he walked to Anna, his hand tilting up her chin, his questioning eyes boring into her. Anna gasped at the sudden closeness between them and so did Elsa.

"Are you going to let her take him away from you?" She heard a voice whispering to her. Or was it just in her mind? She could not tell.

" Your parents are gone Elsa? What about Hans?" That voice was her only companion ever since she could remember herself. Even if everyone else had left her, the voice was still there, by her side.

"You know what you have to do Elsa" She knew, of course. And if she didn't, there weren't much that she could do. She had had no control over herself when it came to that secret force.

" You are right Anna. I shouldn't have done this" She said with a sharp voice. " If someone has to pay then.." Her voice trailed off as Hans pulled back from Anna, upon feeling a strong yet familiar headache, pressing his hand agaist his temples. Anna looked worried as she searched for any kind of injury on his face, but upon hearing the unleashing of his sword , her eyes widened with fear. Hans wasn't like that, right?  He cared about her. He didn't wish to hurt her. Or maybe he did. The dangerous look he gave her was the only proof she wanted.

She started to run hoping she would escape him. The Palace was huge and things could work in her favor. If she got to hide for a couple of minutes... Or should she search for a hidden exit in a wall? Wait what?!  But, her optimism faded the moment she realized she was trapped in a corner. She could not escape, not even if she wanted to.  Hans did not pay attention to her tear - stained face, as he attacked her . Anna managed to duck beneath his sword. He attacked again and Anna knew that she had to fight for her life. " Stop fighting me already Princess" He hissed at her, as he managed to snatch her by her wrist, drawing it behind her back. She shivered at the feeling of the frozen sword against her throat.

" I 'd never shut you out " It seemed like a long ago, when those words filled her ears and a rugged breath escaped from her lips. Had he really tried to earn her trust and love, only for him to kill her a few moments after? It did not make any sense. But, she wasn't afraid. She could feel it in her gut that everything was going to be fine. After all, true love is the most powerful thing in the world.
" Arendelle is mine and no one can stop me" He said as he pressed the sword a little harder in her sensitive skin.

" I don't want you getting hurt " He had told her once, right before she left Arendelle on her horse in hopes of finding her sister.

"Not even you" He said with a sly smile.
