Dear Umi,
Finally the blessed month is over. Eid celebrations have commenced and I cannot even bother to act like I care. I've been getting calls all morning. Texts wishing me the best from people who haven't talked to me since you've been gone.
I surprisingly got a call from Abu, he said he wished me a wonderful Eid. Nothing else. I was expecting an apology but lord knows how hard it is to get an apology from Abu.
Not that he knows about it but I have been looking through his basement any chance I got. So far I've found a letter from grandma and a few letters from someone called Jenson. I haven't even bothered reading them.
It's weird I never though that I would ever have to sneak inside our house. I guess that shows how much people can change over a short amount of time.
I'm not finished until I find out why you left..and so it begins, the hunt.
