The snowstorm had soon died down during their slumber, and once everyone woke up, they went on to continue their adventure.

Diego had woken up first and went ahead of everyone to find a route, but noticed the humans not far away. He turned back and noticed Manny and Hazel not far off.

He then notices a cave.

"Hey! Great news!" He yelled out, racing over towards the mammals to prevent them from going any further. "I found a shortcut!"

"Shortcut?" Hazel raised a brow.

Gurgling, the baby fell off Manny's head and slid down his trunk, but was caught before he hit the ground. "What do you mean shortcut?"

"I mean faster than the long way 'round."

"Ow!! I know what a shortcut is!!" Manny yelled as the baby pulled on his fur to climb back up to his head.

"Look, either we slip through there-" He nods to the cave. "and beat the humans to Glacier Pass, or we take the long way and miss them."

"Through there?" Manny points where the saber nodded, narrowing his eyes at the male saber. "What do you take me for?"

"Some poor mammal..." Hazel muttered lowly, narrowing her eyes at Diego who briefly noticed but was ignored.

"This time tomorrow." Diego smirked up Manny, "-you, can be a free mammoth."

Manny grabbed the baby and tried pulling him off, only getting his eyelid stretched. Hazel cringed at the sight. It looked really painful.

"Or a nanny, personally I never get tired of playing peek-a-boo."

Sid than finally caught up, holding two broken icicles in his hands.

"Hey guys! Hey guys, check this out." He placed both icicles on both sides of his neck, acting as if he was impaled as he passed by them.

"Sid our tiger found a shortcut." Hazel stated bluntly, getting him to stop in front of the cave, narrowing his eyes as he looked over it.

"No thanks." He dropped the icicles. "I choose life." He began walking away only for Diego to stop him.

"Than I suggest, that you take, the shortcut." He growled lowly.

Sid just narrowed his eyes, twirling his claw at the saber. "Are you threatening me?"

"MOVE, SLOTH!!" Diego yelled in Sid's face, which echoed loud enough for the snow on top of the cave to tumble down.

"Way to go Tiger." Sid sarcastically commented, patting Diego on the head.

"Quick inside!!" Manny ordered loudly, getting everyone to race inside only to notice icicles hanging off the roof ready to fall.

They tried to run back outside only to find their entrance blocked, and the icicles soon stopped shaking.

They all stood in silence, noting the entire entrance was completely blocked off by snow.

"Okay..." Manny heaved out. "I vote shortcut." Beginning to walk further into the cave, the other mammals soon follow suit.

The walk was filled with silence as they trailed through the cave that was filled with many ice formations and a lot of tunnels.

"Come on, guys." Diego instructed lowly. "Stick together. It is easy to get lost in here."

Although he has been suspicious, anyone could easily get lost if they were alone, so everyone followed him and it was pretty quiet, until a faint "Uh, guys?!" was called out.
