It was early in the morning. Felix feeling well rested decided to go to the guild
As felix open the door he sees adventurers high and low rank scrambling to get their desired quest. High adventurer would get monster slaying or bandit hunting quest to increase their experience points and potentially rank up while low leveled rank get quest that involves chores and low leveled monster killing.
Felix would always go in the afternoon where most adventurers head out and complete their quest. Of course there are some who relax in the guild eating food and drinking liquor all afternoon and also merchant who are selling food,liquor and potions. come to the guild to do so. The guilds food and liquor quality are always high because of guilds owner connections
"Miss violet!" Felix shouted at miss violet with a smile
"F-felix your here early!" Her perfect smile broke with a look of shock
"Mhm!. I would like a monster slaying quest please!"
"Felix. You need a party member to do this type of ques-"
"I do have one! His right here!" As Felix moved away a young kid with dog ears and a stubby tail. He wore a red sweater which was too big for him and dark leather pants "G-good morning" the young kid said shyly
"Tadah! Cute isn't he?" Felix said with a grin on his face "now miss Violet can we take a monster slaying quest!"
"Ok Felix" she said reluctantly "but first let's check both your levels, if you would follow me"
Felix and the kid followed miss Violet into a room with different guild receptionist checking the level of the adventurer. Felix and the young kid just stood there in awe. It was there first time being into this room.
"Felix would you please give me your hand?" Miss violet holding a small pocket knife
"Miss violet!?" He jumps away and grabs his own hand hiding it instinctively. The kid looks at Felix with a embarrassed face
"Felix I just need a tiny bit of your blood" she said with a smile
"F-fine" miss violet Cuts a small scar and places it on the mirror
"lets see…" she mumbles to her self. suddenly words appear on the mirror. Felix level, hp 200 mana 300
"Those stats are actually good compare to other adventurers who does helping quest" she clasp felixes hand
"Heh well I've been a adventurer for 2 years" he said with a smug face yet with eyes full of glee
It was true Felix level is above than the rest of the adventurers. His mana is high for a adventurer who isn't interested in using magic. While his hp is higher than most rank. Having high HP doesn't mean he can't die with a swing of a sword against him or a arrow on the back by a bow.
"Hey kid its your turn" Felix said. the kid goes In front of violet and give violet his hand
"imagine it's just a ant bite ok" she smiled and said it in a reassuring voice
She makes a small cut and smudges it on the mirror. Word appears appear on the mirror. "NAME 230392. Level 3. Hp 600. Mana 5. His HP was the highest for a adventurer of his level and rank.
Violet grab a book under her wooden desk. She opens it and ask the kid "what is your name?" The kid stood there silent and confuse "n-name?" He ask while scratching his head "I don't think I have on-"
"His name is Satku" Felix said. The kid eyes widen up as he look at Felix
After doing some paperwork miss Violet hands both of them a nameplate
"What is this?" The Satku ask violet
"Well it's a identification. It tells people who are you. How strong are you stat wise. And what rank are you"
"Then why give Mr Felix also, his been doing this for 2 years right?"
"His been doing normal quest not killing quests. The nameplate are for identification when your bodies are… well let's just say when your loss"
"Oh…" Satku voice went silent and he grab on felixes sweater
"Miss violet can we now? I just can't wait to kill all the monsters!" His tail wagging eagerly
"I can tell" she looks at felixes tail which is wagging fast
"Please come back safe" she smiled but it wasn't as real as before. almost it was a force smile
later that day Felix and satku goes to the fields outside the city. the quest goal is to collect 20 gel from the slimes. slimes are not that dangerous compared to other monsters but they can still kill. melt your clothes or sword if your not careful. Felix and satku armor and weapon were cheap but reliable. they didn't have a choice either way
Felix and satku hiding behind a bush. Beside a field were slime are always eating grass,flowers and small bugs
"Satku here is what your gotta do" Felix said while doodling the plan on the ground with a stick
"You sneak up on the slime with your dagger then when I shoot my arrow attack its core to kill it. ok Satku" Satku nods
Satku sneakily goes behind the slime. Felix aim for the slime's core and pull his bow string and then
"Now!"
"Hiyaaah! Satku scream and hit the slimes core with its dagger. instantly breaking it
"gablueble"
just like that there plan was a success. they collected the slime gel and repeated it until the sun went down
"I think this is good enough. dont you think Satku?" Felix carrying a bag full of gel and satku carrying a small pouch the broken slime core
"you know its a good thing we didn't totally destroy the core of the slime" Felix said gladly but Satku stared Felix with a confuse gaze
"a good thing?" satku ask his ear tilting to the right slightly
"Mhm. If we sell the broken slime core we could get some silver coins. maybe a gold coins if we're lucky" Felix gave a mischievous smile. satku gave a dissapointed look to Felix
"your thinking of something, you pervert"
"im not" Satku glare at Felix
"you are"
