A year later

Alex laughed and laughed as she watched Serephina attempting to perform some gymnastic moves like flips and cartwheels and backbends. She was purposely failing to get Alex to laugh, and Alex tried their hardest not to (even if they knew she was doing it on purpose). They'd become best friends after the incident, but choose not to speak about it; the moment was ignored, almost as if it never happened. Alex sighed and smirked at Serephina "Want to see how to actually get someone to laugh?" Alex remarked and lunged with little force at Serephina before Phina could say a word and began to tickle her. Serephina squealed and laughed "Stop! I swear to God, I will fucking murder you, right here, right now!" Serephina giggled and squirmed until she managed to escape Alex's grasp. Alex laughed but their face dropped. Suddenly, a loud piercing tone ripped through their mind, they shrieked and collapsed down to their knees, burying their head into their knees. "ALEX?!" Serephina called out, she ran to Alex and held them. "Come on, stay with me, stay with me, if you can hear me say ki..." Serephina begged, but the world went dark and Alex slipped away into nothingness...
