Cruel implies an indifference to suffering and taking pleasure in inflicting it while capricious implies an incapacity for steadiness and an inherent tendency to change. From their first meeting, God described himself as such. Countless universes created and destroyed through Chuck's search for entertainment. Though, God didn't lie to Metatron when stating he made creation because he was lonely. Throughout the countless millennia, he never forgot the truth behind those words, rather he simply lost hope. And with that loss, Chuck slowly transformed into a "cruel, cruel capricious god." Can the Light be restored, or has he spent far too long playing the manipulative, all-powerful writer to be redeemed?
Important A/N: This story has some cussing as is common with the Winchesters. I am assuming that if you watch Supernatural, you are okay with such occasional language. If you don't like it, this is not the story for you. You just can't write the Winchesters right without a swear word here or there. Otherwise, enjoy the story.
Additional A/N: This fanfiction is my fix-it for S14E20: Moriah. I liked the plot of Chuck being the bad guy but missed the Chuck who supported free will and choosing family above all so I will try to find a balance. Everything will be canon up to the point of Chuck ending the story. However, that will not be the end.
Also, updates will ideally be at least once every one to two months, but know that I will NEVER ABANDON a story. Finally, comments really inspire me to write faster, if I can, because I know people are enjoying the story.
