Rivals-
Chapter #11
XxXxXxXxX
I got up extra early the next day, I quickly got ready at home then sprinted off to school. I was extra excited to find out and meet our new Sensei. I ran all the way to the academy without a single breath, it was beautiful as the sky slowly rippled and began showing the pinkish-blue from above the clouds. I walked into the classroom that I've been taught in since young and all I spotted four figures. Iruka Sensei, Uchiha Sasuke, and a small boy with thick black eyebrows, a green jumpsuit tightened to his small body and a terrible bold-cut framed black hair. There was an older version of him too, but he looked stronger and more 'manly', if that's what you call it... He was talking to Iruka Sensei. "Naruko." Iruka Sensei said, interrupting the conversation he had with the older man. "Your here early..." "I was too excited Sensei, I stayed up all night thinking about it and I guess I just got carried away, gomen.."
"No, it's alright. I'm actually glad your here early, if you look at it in a positive way, your responsible enough to wake up early on your own. I'm happy your excited to graduate, unlike other people.." He said, swiftly switching his eyes to a bored Sasuke sitting in his desk. All I could hear Sasuke say was, "hn," as he moved his eyes from the classroom window toward Iruka Sensei and I. "You may take a seat Naruko, I'll be giving the names of your new established trainners once everyone in class is present."
"Arigato Iruka Sensei." I said with a smils and a slight nod, skipping over to my desk. You know, the cold, dark, annoying desk beside the Uchiha kid. "So, we're in the same group." He says dryly, looking away from my eyes. I just sighed. "Yep." Was all I responded. "Hm?" He asked, realising my sigh. "Oh nothing, its just of all people I get placed into a group with a pink-headed baka and and teme' emo womanizer, what couldn't be more satisfying."
"Tsk, I'm not an emo and I'm not a womanizer." Can you believe this guy? He says that but we ALL know hes lying. "Yeah, alright. That must be why you so love all the attention those girls give you. Well not from me! You got it!" I stated in a cold tone, pointing my index finger at him. "Hn. I wasn't looking for attention, especially not from you, annoying llittle girl." Suprisingly, he finally made eye-contact with me and pushed my finger out of his face.
"Excuse me?" I almost shouted out. "I'm not the womanizer here, and I am not a little girl so you can just shut your smug mouth up Uchiha!"
"Hn." How could he deal with himself and his own self ignorance! After a painful while of awkward silence and the two male adults looking at us in utter confusion, my classmates started to slowly poor into the class. "Hello class!" Iruka smiled, inviting all of them to take a seat. "We'll be calling out the teachers that were picked at random and still teach each and every indivaul in all the teams, so don't ask to switch teams or to a different Sensei." The whole class groaned, they all just wanted to be assigned to a teacher, but heard one another of Iruka Senseis speeches as usual. We were ninja now. "Okay, well with that I'll be calling out your trainers. Team eight, you'll be paired and taught by Yuhi Kurenai.""I wanted Kurenai.." I mumbled to myself jealously, she was a powerful woman who always showed everybody that she could do anything. At least group eight got her and not some snot nosed kids like Ino. "Team seven will be assigned and taught by... Oh dear..." Iruka started but cut himself off mid-sentence. "What?" Everybody asked. "Ano... My apologies... Team eight will be taught by Hatake Kakashi." Iruka Sensei shot me a warning glare... Who was Hatake? "I heard nobody's ever passed his test..!" A girl from behind me whispered to the boy next to her. "Everybody's failed, even the straight A students. My mom knew a girl when she was younger, she was the best in the class at every thing and Kakashi failed her..." I heard another voice from the back of the classroom say with a sigh. "Poor Sasuke." Another feminine voice whispered.
B-best in the class... At everything!? How would he fail her if she was the best in the class!? What if he fails me!
"Okay, now, team five. You'll be given~-" Iruka Senseis voice cut out of my ears, I think I was in shock. All those nights studying. All those nights practicing. All those night telling my self I would prove them wrong. All of them! I wouldn't let some stupid teacher named Hatake Kakashi ruin my dreams! "Okay class, this is upsetting, but since were finished here I'll let you leave school early. It's a very sad day but also one filled woth exhilaration and celebration. I just want you all to know I enjoyed every day accomping and teaching each and every one of you. I'm happy and proud that everyone passed and will be becoming proud ninja. Do gooders. The protectors of the leaf. Now please, go persue your dreams and protect The Village Of The Hidden leaf."
"Thankyou for everything Iruka Sensei." The kids thanked. "We'll visit. That's a promise!" Others said. I told Iruka a lazy goodbye and thankyou, then left the room to gather my thoughts. I was going to see him on a normal basis because he usually treats me to ramen and makes me clean my room from time to time.- Anyways that's not the point right now. The point was j was finally ninja... I was finally becoming a ninja, hey? Nobody thought I could, yet I proved them all wrong. I still didn't get any credit from anybody, but being proud of myself is all I need, it's all I ever needed.
