We walked to Choji's doorstep and Shikamaru let me happily knock on the door. "I hope he's home." I smiled. "Yeah." I heard a few stomps on the other side if the door, then a clicking noise. "Hey Choji!" I smiled. "Hey guys... What's up?" Shika didn't reply so I decided to break the silence. "We just wanted to see if you want to come celebrate with us. Shika's mom surprisingly let him leave while she and his dad celebrated."

"Cool."

"So can you come?"

"Well... I am supposed to celebrate with my family today..But I can ask to go out for an hour?" The brunette asked, "okay!" I smiled out. I usually wouldn't be this happy but it was nice to know that I had friends once in a while. To have somebody to talk to you instead of criticize you. Choji kept the door open as he ran up the stairs to his house. A few minutes later her ran back down with a frown. "Can't right now, sorry guys maybe later." Choji suprisngly just smiled but quickly hid it and said. "It's very fancy there. Just saying."

Im starting to have suspicious thoughts.

"Aw, I wish you could come.." I pout. "Sorry, maybe later? Ive already been there and my dad wants me to celebrate with him and mom. Just go but dont have too much fun without me, kay." At least I still have Shika.. "Fineee" I sighed out. "See you later then." Shika and I said our goodbyes, then Choji closed the door. I stood there for a minute in deep thought when I realized Shikamaru wasn't beside me anymore, he was walking down the stairs of the porch with his hands in his pockets. "You coming? Or are you going to stalk him through the windows?"

"Shut up."

"Just hurry up or I'm leaving you." He teased, looking back and stopping to wait for me. "Tsk fine." I ran up and caught up with him in seconds. "Are we still going?.." I ponder to myself. "I mean it would be such a drag to come all the way out here if we arent going anymore. If I knew you were cancelling plans because your boyfriend didn't come I wouldn't of came." Shika said calmly, looking a bit bored. "First of all, Choji is NOT my boyfriend! Second of all, EW," (Poor choji, rejection hurts eh?) "Whatever you say." He whistled out, I wanted to slap him so bad but for some reason I didnt feel like picking a fight with one of my best friends today.

I heard people call me cute and pretty in the halls on a regular basis but they all still hated me. Feared me blonde pigtails or not. I was a demon after all, or... Sort of I guess. I couldn't afford to lose more friends, even if they were jerks at times. Me and Shika both entered into the restaurant with wide eyes, what Choji said about this place was true, it was so fancy. A little too fancy. "A set up." We both said on que at the same time in monotone voices, mentally facepalming each other. "What the hell! Did he do this on purpose!?"

"What a drag," was all Shika responded with. "A drag?" What's that suppose to mean?? "I didn't know it would be a set up. Now I feel awkward," he sighed. "Same. But I'm hungry." I started, walking past him into the restaurant. "So you still wanna go?" He dumbfoundedly asked. "Why else would I be walkng into the restaurant saying I'm hungry?" Okay so this could be great and we could have a great time being friends... Or this could be a total disaster due to the fact that I did have a crush on Shika... But that was years ago when I first met him. I surely dont have any feelings for him anymore... And this surely won't be extremely akward and wierd, right?...

"Okay." Was all he replied with, walking behind me. "Hello, table for the two young love birds I see?" A short waiter glanced at us with time of those 'aw you guys are adorable' mushy looking face. "W-what?" I say, burning up. "N-no! We're friends is all!" Shika was quiet, glancing at the waiter looking bored. "Okay, whatever you say young fellas, table three is open if you'd like. A waiter will be with you in a few short moments. There are menus on the table for you to choose from."

"Thankyou!" I cheered, rushing over to the table. "Arigato.." Shikamaru lazily whispered, following behind me. I think he was taken back and felt a bit betrayed that Choj would do this. Welp, I get good food either way so it doesn't really matter.
